A genuinely lovely place to stay with hosts (Ash and Berry) so friendly and welcoming I thought I was at home! A great and scrumptious breakfast in the morning set me and my dad up for a long day of hiking - i'm not sure whether we would have completed Kinder Scout without it! The room we stayed in was...

My husband and I stayed for just one night as a getaway treat. We had a lovely warm welcome and made to feel special. Our room was cosy, the website (booking.com) did say a mountain view, we are northern and they were hills. The bed was very comfortable and we didn't want to get up :-). Our breakfast was of...

We visited here for a one night stay and stayed in top floor room 6 Upon arrival was met by the proprietor, who was very welcoming. He gave us a map with some local info and showed us to our room. The room was spotlessly clean and warm with a good sized bathroom which looked like it had been recently...

Despite having been described as "homeless" by a local estate agent, after some further clarification, Ashleigh could not have been a warmer host. We found ourselves temporarily homeless due to an unfortunate banking issue at the bottom of the chain we were part of in our move to Buxton. We spent 6 nights at Netherdale until our purchase could be...

We had a warm and comfortable room with a splendid modern ensuite shower room and nice views across to hills. Breakfast was top quality food, tastefully served. Welcoming host and friendly atmosphere. We hope to revisit for a longer stay next time we are in the area.

Stayed here for one night early November. Clean and comfy bedroom, breakfast was brill, full english with coffee/tea and plenty of toast. Ashleigh, an ausssie ex chef, who ran the place was chatty if a little shy. Situated a ten minute walk from centre of Buxton, so easy access not needing a car. Will stay here again when next in...

Stayed overnight on drop in availability after another establishment had made an error with our booking. Ashleigh was more than helpful and a great host. Room was excellent as was breakfast which had a choice of freshly prepared fruit and croissants for my wife. Good location, quiet but within easy reach of Upper Town with its bars and eateries and...

Set in a quiet residential area yet only a few minutes walk to the town. Good breakfast and friendly Australian host. Good location for visiting local Peak district attractions and Buxton's fine pubs and tourist spots.

We were looking for a base to explore the Peak District. Buxton seemed a perfect choice with its own attractions and infrastructure. Reviews of The Netherdale helped sway our choice of accommodation. We weren't disappointed. Ashleigh is a great host ably assisted by Berry his blue Staffy. Room 2 was clean and comfortable and the warmer room when the sun...
