All the staff here are friendly and helpful and dealt with all our needs despite being very busy. We had room 10 at the front of the building, which was small but with plenty of space and a cosy feel and catered for our needs well. The bed was very comfortable and the heating was excellent. The shower was powerful... More

Lovely old building with lots of character. Food was standard pub fare, and a very good cooked breakfast with lots of options. Rooms are a bit dated, but large and comfortable. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful and made sure we had plenty of room for our little one in a cot, which we really appreciated. We'd definitely stay again... More

We had high expectations of the Cromwell lodge , unfortunately we were very disappointed. Upon arrival We were greeted very well by a pleasant staff member who directed us to our room, but everything went downhill from there. The room was extremely dated , with an old and grotty carpet with quite a few large very black stains in several places,... More

Me and my sister stayed at the Cromwell for one night. The room was tired and the bathroom is in need of refurbishment, as this is an old place you will find creaky floors and cracks here and there, but it was a pleasant stay and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even ordering... More

We paid extra for a superior room and on leaving i asked exactly what that meant? I was told that our room number three was much bigger than a normal room and the bathroom was bigger. The double rooms must be tiny as our room was hardly big. The tv was on the wall opposite the bed and the channels... More

I recently stayed here on business. There is plenty of car parking on the main road or in the hotel's car park. The rooms are typical of the age of the hotel, creaky, noisy, oddly shaped, but I like this and feel it adds character. I will often choose to stay at hotels like this rather than the run of...
