The location of the hotel is wonderful but we were very disappointed with the hotel overall. The rooms were tiny & sound proofing non-existent, we asked to move after our first night as the water tanks must have been above our room and the noise from people drawing water from 6am was dreadful. The receptionist was very helpful but as...

The stairs up to the top floor are very narrow & slant to the left, when carrying bags it is very dangerous. The restaurant closes at 8-30 pm which is very early so many people turned away at 8-35pm, the breakfast is very small.

Great location but this hotel is jaded in so many ways. My room was on the 3rd floor at the back of the hotel overlooking the bus station. Not as bad as it sounds as it was surprisingly quiet. However the steep slope on the floor and a bed that slopes upwards on a worn mattress does not make for...

We stayed at the chatworth hotel for 1 night. I booked the room 2 months in advance unknowingly paying for a family suite to sleep 5 when there was only me & my husband visiting. I thought the amount I paid was the going rate for the hotel until we spoke to friends who booked a much cheaper room. It...

Having read the reviews I was expecting a slightly faded grandeur Vixtorian style hotel and happily, that is what I got. Clean room with good shower. Quiet rooms. Good breakfast (although coffee wasn't great). Period staircase, furniture and associated adornments - character that I appreciated.

On arrival met by friendly staff who had us sorted and in our rooms in no time. Parking is limited and the hotel provide a voucher which is cheaper that the parking meters. Located on the see front and less than five minutes walk from the town centre and amenities. A free full English breakfast was included and was very...

Upon arrival reception staff informed us of all necessary details including whether it was cheaper to use 'street parking' (if available) or reduced price multi storey. Room was ideal - fresh and cosy with TV, hairdryer, tea making facilities etc., comfortable bed and clean bathroom with plenty of hot water. Breakfast superb, good choice and hot 'full English'. All staff...

I recently stayed for three nights. I had a lovely refurbished room on 3rd floor exceptionally clean, small but fine for what I needed. Room sloped but I found that added to character. Little things like biscuits and toiletries provided are nice touches. Parking is tight but after driving round for 5 - 10 mins I was able to park...

We had 2 nights here and were very comfortable. Our room, which had been refurbished, was bright and very clean, there was ample hot water for the shower and the towels were of a good size. The cold water in the basin did only run as a trickle which made teeth cleaning a bit problematical and the hinge was broken...
