Clean and comfortable at a budget price, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and the overall standard of comfort offered at this hotel. Well priced by comparison to the rest of the local competition. Also reasonably quiet too!
You get what you pay for. But I have no complaints! We paid £40 for a saver room on a Saturday night- booked due to not wanting to drive 200 miles in a day to Knowsley and back. And the room was small, clean and comfortable. There wasn’t much in the room, except a kettle and enough tea and coffee and milk for one cup each ( I’m sure more would of been given for a longer stay) The bed was comfy and the shower worked fine, the room was tidy ( did hear the motorway- but that’s expected with a services branch of a hotel) and that didn’t bother us at all. The staff were welcoming and chatty and friendly. I left something in the room after checking out and with a simple call, a lovely woman called Gemma ( I think) brought it down to us, couldn’t of been happier with the customer service. Plenty of parking and amenities close by Good location for motorways Great value for money Would and most probably will stay again…
Fantastic value. Clean spacious room. Dog friendly hotel. Starbucks right next door and many shops and eateries right on the doorstep. Very friendly and helpful staff including Sharon who is very cheery and friendly. Nothing too much trouble and staff are available to help at all hours.
Booked in on Sunday afternoon and the lady on reception Sue was very helpful . She was able to help me with an addition booking that I wanted to make for later in the week . It was lovely to see a smiling face at the beginning of my visit. The hotel was very clean and easy to find , just off the M63
Clean, modern, well sound-insulated from adjoning M62, good parking, close to countless facilities (visited IKEA) and Warrington Town Centre, extremely good location for all points N-S-E & W. Good value on the (sunday) night stayed.
My 3rd time staying at Gemini Travelodge Shannon and the rest of the staff couldn't be more helpful during my stay they went above and beyond. Ignore the bad reviews, this is not the Hilton Hotel this is a budget friendly Hotel with everything you need at within a close proximity.
Shower was faulty, couldn't get hold of staff until the third day of my stay, had to call the premium Travelodge central reservation number for help as no one answered the on site emergency number. I called the on site emergency number many times at different times and never once got an answer. Their central reservation number is a premium number, in the end it cost me 80 euros for roughly 12 combined minutes of calls trying to get some help. Cleaners only cleaned the room once across the entire week. The volume buttons on the TV remote didn't work despite all other buttons working fine. The bed sheets were stained with something brown, we didn't want to know what that was. Finally the soap in the bathroom was empty and never got refilled. I wrote a complaint at the beginning of the week and I still have not had a response from Travelodge. At this point I would never stay there again or recommend them. Just to clarify with regards to the staff being unavailable, there was no one on reception, just a sign saying 'call this number in emergencies' but no one answered that number. We came back later and it was the same situation, we saw staff eventually during the second visit/attempt but we waited about an hour and finally go out our cards for the room. We couldn't get hold of staff again after that for another 2 days after we discovered the issues with the room. After my phone network provider messaged me about the high bill, I refused to call the central reservation number again so we were stuck without help. This was a hotel hell nightmare. There was also bags of trash and empty pizza boxes outside the main reception.…
****Hair in the bed and the the floor***** A clear sign a room has been insufficiently cleaned is the sight of hair in thebed and the the floor. Over time, some employees may try to take shortcuts by not hovering or sweeping up. To avoid these type of housekeeping issues, make sure all your staff have plenty of time to tidy each room. Shortcuts are often made because they don't have enough time to complete their work. And also make random checks every week to ensure all your staff work to a high standard every time.
Would have given 5 stars as it was cheap and clean. Receptionist was rude, unhelpful and just sounded like we were wasting her time. My elderly grandma had left belongings after check out. I contacted the hotel and they said they didn't find anything but the person I spoke to was so rude on the phone.
My sister and I chose this Travelodge as a base for visiting relatives. It was convenient and dog friendly. I have stayed here in the past, before Covid and found it has become run down and lacking in customer service since then.
