I stayed in the hotel this week in room 115. Comfy, clean, and quiet.
Ian in reception was very helpful in booking the restaurant and advising on alternative places to eat nearby.
He always remembers me from previous stays here.
Will stay again.

We live in Cyprus and visit our family in the Cheshire area on a regular basis, We use Premier inns as you know your getting a spotlessly clean large room with a very comfortable king size bed, nice bathroom and Free Wifi is always useful. The hotels are attached to a pub so breakfast and evening meals are available at reasonable prices. Highly recommended

Needed to get to Manchester to pick up a vehicle, and as it was Tory Conference the city hotels were full. this was a nice distance, and so easily accessible being literally just off M62 only 3 miles from M6. Took our bikes and cycled 30 miles into Manchester to get the vehicle. Next day cycled from hotel to Liverpool and back - mostly on cycle trails. Room very clean, very quiet in spite of being on a main road. Smallest Premier Inn room we have had but still well appointed. Spacious shower in bathroom, plenty of hot water. Staff very accommodating, let us put our bikes in laundry room overnight. Brewers Fayre attached was ok, first morning was buffet hot breakfast which is a bit daunting for me being coeliac and worried about cross contamination, but they did have gluten free bread, which they toasted separately. Weekdays they cook to order which is better but the food is still not very hot. Only ate once in the evening, my partner had a great meal of ribs and chicken, my tikka masala was ok - they subbed the naan bread for chips, I should have asked for a salad with it really. Not their fault but a lot of dishes were unavailable, as they are in many establishments currently. But they seemed to have a fair knowledge of gluten free and i have not been affected which is good.

Good location next to the M62. Very basic room, poor cleanliness overall, pedestal fan stuck on one speed, slow. Breakfast was dire and staff confused as after showingus to our table they gave it to another customer while we went to get our food. Hygiene at breakfast was a concern with another customer putting a half eaten pancake back through the toaster.

Hotel was easy to find just off junction of motorway. We had a wet room which was extremely well equipped for someone with mobility issues as had hand rails everywhere and pull cords which could be easily reached if needed.
Clean room and although close to motorway no noise heard.

Usual premier inn standard of room. Used this as a base for a recent music gig in Manchester as the prices were x5 higher in the city. Paid £58 for a double room, Uber to Old Trafford was £39 each way with a tip. I drive an EV so was pleased to find 4 free EV chargers to use. The attached Brewers Fayre was decent enough, limited range of beers but well stocked overall and couldn’t complain about the food for the money. Only downside is that it closes at 10:30pm so no late night drink after a weekend with friends! I usually choose premier inn and would recommend this one.

Stayed here for one night recently while visiting friends. Of the budget brands, Premier Inn usually wins out hands down, but this definitely wasn’t the best one we’ve stayed in. The main issue was the heat in our first floor room. There is no air conditioning, it was a mild day outside, around 20 degrees, but the room temperature was 27 degrees and although we left our window open and had a fan switched on all night (which they supplied) at full pelt, we could not get the room to cool down at all. Other than that the room was clean, but we had to ask for pillowcases at reception for the spare pillows. The restaurant was closed in the evening (short staffed?) , breakfast was okay but not the best we have had in a Premier Inn. Had to ask for butter as none out, and a long wait for some buffet items to be cooked. Staff friendly and obliging. Can only give this one an average 3/5 - could do better!

Hotel and restaurant staff are fantastic and go beyond what you would expect. The hotel says it has EV charging which it does but they are blocked by cars and vans not charging. I was aware of this from other reviews and phoned the night before and the helpful receptionist said he would park his car in one to keep it free for. This he did great but he shouldn't have had to do this.
This is a Manager issue either at the site or Premier Inn themselves this is the only reason it is not a 5 star. At the charging bay there is no signage to say for charging only just one sign to say charging point. Hope it improves.

Arrived at the hotel around 6:30 , booked dinner for 8 , everything seemed fine. Quickly dumped bags in room and spent hours at the park outside with my son. Then had dinner and returned to the room. ROOM 4 is the room in question. To start with I was alerted to a large bug crawling. It definitely didn’t fly. My son stamped on it when it hit the carpet. I then decided to look further at the bed where I had first noticed this crawling insect. What a surprise ! There was 15+ moving insects which looked slightly black and white with antlers. They were literally tiny but eventually noticeable. We grabbed our bags and headed to reception. I informed the receptionist I was sorry to bother him but there appeared to be ants in the room. He came and checked and identified MORE on another bed!! He offered us to change room but there was none available so I accepted an offer of a nearby premier inn. But unfortunately the closest was Manchester or Liverpool. I have never been in they places before and it was 23:00. I was a single parent alone with my 6 year old and anxious to make this move. I explained this and was told it would be fine to sleep in the room. He would change the bedding. I had to decline this offer as it’s unhygienic and would pose a risk to myself and my sons health as it would anyone. But much to my amazement the receptionist informed myself and my 6 year old that we must’ve brought the insects in. It’s absolute cheek from a male who is supposed to work with compassion care and help. Maybe insects/ants are usual for him but they are not for myself or my son. I personally only booked premier inn as I thought I’d have been in a safe and clean hotel. This trip has unfortunately put me off ever booking any premier inn again as I now know I cannot be guaranteed a clean or safe nights sleep. I dread to think how myself and son would have been had we not noticed these insects. As for the male at reception. He knew we had no car and to see a young mother and child on the street at 23:00 in a strange area is unacceptable I’d think. His mannerism was aggressive intimidating and rude. When I got to the safety of a new hotel via taxi I was relieved that I was now safe and not near this “crazy man” as my son is now referencing him. Absolutely horrific scary time!! Changed my mind forever on hotels and even leaving home! I will never use premier inn again for a usual “hassle free clean safe sleepover”

Thank you for your review. I am so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. I can assure you that cleanliness is of huge importance to every member of our team and we go to great lengths to ensure our rooms are cleaned and checked to a extremely high standard. Unfortunately, especially during the hotter months, it is not possible for us to stop insects entering the hotel. Our staff are highly trained on how to deal with these situations and the happiness of our guests is our top priority. I am sorry that in this instance it was not possible for us to move you to another room, due to the hotel being at full capacity. After speaking with the staff member in question he has assured us that upon inspection there was no evidence of any insects. I am sorry that despite offering to change the bedding you were still not happy to stay in the room. We have since thoroughly checked all of our rooms and have made sure all staff are doing extra checks to make sure no insects have found their way into the building. I am glad you were able to find alternative acomadation for you and your son and hope that you will stay with us again in the future.

On a visit to family and needed a hotel close by. The hotel was very conveniently located, loads of free parking and close to various attractions and shopping. I was in a ground floor room the first night and heard people walking overhead, so I asked to move to a 1st floor room the next day. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, they even moved my suitcase upstairs for me. Overall the hotel was very quiet. The free wi-fi was just about adequate. There is no central heat or A/C but a wall heater (I didn't need/use it) and each room had a standing fan, which worked well, but the room was still warm at night. The windows do not open very far and I wouldn't have wanted to stay there if the weather had been hotter. We ate breakfast and a couple of evening meals in the attached restaurant. The service was very good, the food just okay, standard pup menu.
