Just spent a fantastic weekend at the Old Copwood B&B. Annie is the most perfect hostess, friendly and attentive. Very comfortable rooms in a delightfully quirky house, beautifully furnished, and everything you need. And VERY comfortable beds. I actually slept the first night, something I never normally do. Lovely gardens, lovely walks on the doorstep, and ample parking in beautiful,...

Annie is a warm and welcoming host at this quirky b&b. Set in a 17th century cottage literally on the middle of nowhere, the three rooms (1 ensuite) are huge, very well appointed and above all quiet. All have kettle and tea/coffee and biscuits, port and a huge very comfortable bed. Breakfast was served in the dining room with a...

We needed somewhere for a one night stay while attending a nearby family party. Thankfully Annie had two rooms available. One a double with every single amenity you could possibly want (White Company toiletries for starters!) and the other a twin with the hugest bathroom complete with a sofa. Everything is very high quality, very clean and fresh and in...

We stayed here for the second time this summer, after a trip to Glyndbourne. The cottage is lovely, the rooms delightful but, as other people have remarked, what really makes the difference is the hostess. Annie could not be more friendly and thoughtful. She has a natural bonhomie which enhances the atmosphere of your stay, plus the breakfasts are delicious.

We have been coming to this B&B every year for the last five years or so and absolutely adore it. Annie is the most charming and welcoming B&B owner imaginable. The house is a fantastic eighteenth century warren, surrounded in beautiful Sussex countryside. It is a house rather than a hotel, but I can't recommend it highly enough for visitors...

Lovely old farmhouse with beautiful rooms. Guests are made to feel like they're at home. Breakfast was great and the owner in tune with our late rising! Lovely country views and set in a peaceful and tranquil setting. Perfect stay for overnight or longer.

I've been using B&Bs for 30 years and this one is equal first with two others. What singled it out was Annie's genuine kindness and good humour; I was a quite a nuisance but she took great trouble to make sure that my visit to Uckfield went smoothly. The bed was comfortable, the room attractively decorated, the shower torrential, the...

After struggling to find anywhere to stay in the area for a last minute booking, we were so happy that there had been a cancellation at Old Copwood and we could get in! Annie was a wonderful host, looking after us really well and being very accommodating with our baby son, providing a travel cot, highchair at breakfast, and anything...
