We had two nights at Burn Cottage and it was a most enjoyable experience. The three guest rooms are upstairs, very clean, with great views of Dartmoor. Go through the gate in the garden wall and you are in the wilds of Dartmoor, complete with ponies - it's as close as that. At the other end of the long drive...

We only stayed for one weekend, but found the proprieter (Shelia) to be most welcoming, providing us with local advice, sumptious food, as well as clean and fresh rooms furnished with mini luxuries such as champagne, truffles, and high quality toiletries. The view from the bedroom was as we'd hoped too, right out onto the moor on which we walked...

The owner (Sheila) was very welcoming, providing tea and home made chocolate cake when we arrived. The room we had was excellent (double en-suite) overlooking the moor. Breakfast was brilliant quality and enough to feed a small army. We were even given flapjacks to take with us on our walk. We are given a tour of the property including the...

Spent 3 days here with wife after arriving from Australia. Host provided us with a chocolate cake on our arrival. On returning home the next day found the cake missing from our cottage as the owner had decided to sneak in and take it back and then give the remainder to other guests. Strange that. Overall a well furnished cottage...
