Maybe I'm being too harsh bearing in mind this is only a 3* hotel............. Good points - nice toiletries and soft fluffy towels in a newly refurbished bathroom (facial tissues would be a nice addition though) - hotel has lots of character and some great staff. Points to note - the car park can be a bit tricky to enter,...

We stayed for two nights with our dog over the Easter holiday . The hotel is full of character and has a very homely feel to it. We stayed in room 11 which was very spacious and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed relaxing on the lovely comfy sofas in the library and were able to eat breakfast and dinner in there...

My partner booked a room here for my Birrhday on the dinner bed & breakfast , We were greeted by a man on reception who wasn't very friendly quite abrupt which didn't create an excellent impression. We were given the key to our room, the stairs are near to the main restaurant and bar so anyone can just walk upstairs...

Thank you for your review. We are please you enjoyed your meal. We are however, a little puzzled by your comments about "music playing in the bar" and not getting a good night's sleep. Our bar certainly is popular, however, we do not and never have had either live music or loud recorded music playing. We are extremely conscious of...

Stayed the night at The Kings Head Hotel. Clean, quiet room. Great friendly 'locals' bar. Hearty breakfast in the morning. In the centre of Ross on Wye which is very convenient with parking at the rear. I would recommend this hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kings Head, from the warm welcome to the excellent evening meal and locally sourced breakfast the following day. Service was attentive without being over bearing and all staff were friendly and efficient. Evening meal was slightly marred by very noisy party on adjacent table but that was not the hotels fault, and will probably...

This is the second visit to this hotel with 12 friends. A great weekend offer with dinner B&B! Lovely hotel but be warned, if you don't want to be told to be quiet because you are making too much noise, then i suggest you look else where! We had lunch booked for Sunday too but cancelled this as we were...

Old quirky hotel. Room was comfortable & quiet even though it faced the High Street. Food was very good & even though the staff were very busy at times they kept smiling & were very helpful. Liked breakfast being served until 10am on Sunday so had a longer lay in & could check out at 11am Would definitely stay again

Me and my husband were staying in Ross on wye and we came across this pub for a drink one afternoon. It's very cosy inside and after looking at the menu, we decided to book for dinner. We are so glad we did! The food was gorgeous and we left feeling very full and content! The staff were lovely and...

I really enjoyed our stay at the King's Head. Comfortable bed, good shower, very clean and with some quirky period features. Particular mention for the best large white fluffy towels I've seen in any hotel, 5 star included. Easy off Street parking at the rear of the hotel. We had a Superior double room on the second floor which was...
