Comfortable hotel at a very reasonable price. Chef off sick when I arrived but receptionist ordered a food delivery for me. Staff friendly and amiable. A Steam railway occasionally runs past the back of the hotel, so a good chance to see an old Steam train, if you are lucky

Cheaper for a reason but not all bad, comfy and warm rooms but thin walls and creaky floorboards but to be fair helpful staff & good food The property is in a good location away from the main road so no road noise

Good Location. Plenty of free parking. well cooked breakfast. friendly and helpful staff Didn't like the loud music in the bar area which you could hear in the rooms. Also there are no shower mats or support handles in the shower which makes taking a shower quite hazardous especially if guests are slightly unsteady on their feet.

This hotel/pub is in need of a revamp the room was clean but very cold in welcoming, the staff were very efficient which made up for the lack of warmth the hotel gave. The food was ok the restaurant area was cold and had no character at all don't be deceived by the pictures you see. Good place for business...

The light in the bathroom did not work. The shower would not work properly. The bedroom door did not lock from the inside. Steam train passing every so often by my window was not told about it. Bed was very low to the floor. would not stop there again or recommend to anyone.

very clean and cosy rooms. Little out of town but not really an issue for me as I drive. I asked to chnage my room as the next door room was noisy and was given another room with an upgrade to double free of charge. Very helpful staff. Will stay there again

Well where do I start. When I arrived the hotel looked a bit run down and neglected. I booked in and was given a key to room 25( you do not want to stay in this room) the room was over the bar and I could tell what drinks people was ordering. I could also hear a droning sound in...
