Thought I would write a review due to the fact that we really thought this guest house is a nice place to stay. As we walked through the door we were greeted by Irene who welcomed us with a smile into her home. The food was excellent, full English breakfast not fatty, bacon grilled, and lots of choices including fresh...

We were greeted at the door by Irene who welcomed us in. We were subsequently shown our room which had been upgraded to a family room, nice The room was very spacious, biggest bed I have ever seen, tea and coffee facilities, en-suite. You had everything. Downstairs there is the dining room with nicely set out tables, a conservatory with...

Stayed here for 3 nights in the end, with a very kind and warm welcome from Irene. The room was extremely comfortable with an original 1920's bath - one you can actually stretch out in even if you're 6 ft tall! Very good facilities overall, exceptionally clean and well kept throughout. Beautifully cooked breakfast with a good selection of fruit...

What a surprise, really friendly and a great place to stay. The food was fantastic "just like mum used to cook". I will definitely book there again when back in the area. Excellent valve and faultless service.

Thank you for another pleasant stay. As usual, my room was clean, comfortable, well presented and a very welcome refuge from the weather on the Loughborough Riviera. As a place for me to visit the university from, it is local and ideal, especially given the wi-fi access. I am always welcomed warmly and any need is readily catered for. Excellent...

I stayed at the HIghbury from late November 2012 to February 2013. The accommodation was first rate and the owners very helpful and friendly. I am a vegetarian and the breakfast included a choice of cereal, fresh fruit, cooked options , I felt well catered for. I would recommend this establishment , it's quiet, clean and welll run.
