This is our second visit to this hotel and again the hotel is excellent. The owners always welcome you on arrival, they are always helpful and friendly. The rooms are of a very high standard. Breakfast was fantastic, cooked fresh to order. Would recommend this hotel and will be back next year.

I stayed just one night arriving late last night 30/10. The arrangements I made with the owner for my late arrival worked out perfectly. The single room was small and very comfortable and had a private bathroom just across the corridor, very comfortable indeed. Unfortunately I could not stay for what looked like a fantastic breakfast menu due to my... More

This was my first visit to Pickmere Country Guest house, although my husband had stayed here a couple of times previously. What a gem. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean, well thought out, lovely bright, stylish ensuite with automatic lighting. The bed was so comfortable I could have slept there forever. An absolutely delicious, scrumptious, beautifully presented breakfast. The... More

Pickmere B&B has so many rooms it meant a group of friends were all able to stay there for a wedding - making it easy for the taxi and fun to share breakfast together. There was a fantastic choice of breakfast options, which were very tasty and served very quickly! We were able to arrive late the night before and... More

Beautiful country house , clean and well presented .Not very welcoming I'm afraid ! Arrived early evening , no food available - advised to go to the local spar ! No directions or help offered which isn't very helpful when you don't know the area and travelling alone ! I was away from home attending a course so very tired... More

We are pleased that this lady found the house clean and well presented but disappointed she found us unwelcoming as we do like to welcome our guests to the house. We serve food at Pickmere House Monday - Thursday as advertised on our website, other times with prior notice, as we find weekend guests usually prefer to eat out. The... More

I chose Pickmere Country Guest House on the basis of the reviews on Trip Adviser and I wasn't disappointed in any way. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The accommodation was full of character and charm. Breakfast offered lots of options including porridge. The "Full English" was just that and sourced from local farms. I wouldn't hesitate to stay... Lovely couple running a remote guest house in the Cheshire shires. I'm not too keen on sitting in someone's lounge but that's guest houses for you. Nice selection of books and mags to read.....if that's what you want. I mistakenly opted for a single room with private bathroom diagonally across corridor. At my age, with 3 visits per night, I... This lovely old house is tall and beautiful in a very peaceful location. We turned up late at night forgetting to warn our hosts and the gentleman sat up waiting for us, thankyou. The company I work for has recently moved its office location very close to Pickmere Country Guest House and me and a few colleagues were booked in here for two nights for our annual meeting. Lovely location, lovely greeting, lovely rooms, lovely breakfast, lovely chef. An absolute gem would definitely recommend. Super tea selections in room and great for vegetarians. If you want old school hospitality in a lovely converted farmhouse this is a must stop. Walking distance to pub isn't bad either.
