Set in the heart of Cheshire, Mere Court Hotel was originally built as a wedding present for William and Amy Dunkerley in 1903 and has now been lovingly and skilfully restored as a 4-star deluxe country house hotel, award-winning wedding venue, conference centre and fine dining restaurant with one AA Rosette. Set in 7 acres of landscaped gardens and grounds with a private lake in the most desirable part of the Cheshire countryside it offers ambience and rural tranquillity, despite being only 10 minutes from Manchester Airport and within easy reach of the major motorway networks (M56/M6/M62) giving access to Manchester, Liverpool and the historic City of Chester. The original house has individually designed and furnished luxury bedrooms, including two four poster suites, all with wonderful views across the beautiful grounds. The Lakeside rooms all have king size beds. We booked as a Park and Fly and it relieves so much pressure! We booked our taxi when we checked in and were handed a card which explained how to order a taxi when we arrived back after our holiday which came within 10 minutes. The room was nice, the worlds comfiest bed and easy to find. Upon arriving back at the hotel, just after 10 pm, after our holiday we found out that our car battery was dead. We had a 3-hour journey ahead... Gary (a member of staff) was the nicest, kindest person we have ever met! The RAC, AA, START had all let us down. Gary tried everything. He tried to jump-start the car using his jump leads and car, put his car battery in our car, looked up fixes online, and offered to take us to the train station, garage, and HOME!! Stayed for an overnight pre flight, with parking included package. Dinner was great, soup for me, goats cheese for the good lady, both perfect. Main was steak for us both and really tasty. Washed it down with an above average Pinot noir. The room lived up to its superior tag, bar area had a lovely chilled out country feel. Feeling really relaxed and ready tomorrows long haul. Much better than all the airport plastic transit hotels, will definitely use next time we fly from Manchester

On booking in had a charge put on my card which I mess told this was just a holding charge and would not be taken but after checking out I noticed that they had taken the £135.00 holding charge plus final payment took over a week to get my money back after lots of calls and the hotel denies about taking the money i had to provide bank statements and still no apology so will never go back or recommend this hotel.

Went for one night on a Groupon booking which included a three course meal and breakfast. The food was amazing, cannot fault it in any way. The room was lovely, if a bit dated. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars. Staff very friendly and helpful especially Rachel on reception. Would definitely come again.

Beautiful quaint location with a mystical romantic atmosohere. Staff friendly and accommodating. If faced with an issue they will rectify it. Rooms are cosy though could do with a bit of more attention to dusting. Now the food!!! WOW!!! Massive compliments to the Chef. Food was 5 star and absolutely faultless. We will definitely be coming back for our wedding anniversary. Highly recommended 🥰

Booked in April early to book to rooms got told a price so booked then 2 days before we arrive told want 60 pound each extra a room did not honour price sounds fishy to me spoke to them on phone not helpful at all what would have happened if travelled there to be told that not happy at all like always book premier inn now alot better service and communication

We had stayed at mere court a few times, and used the park and stay before covid , so I booked it again for 28th January to February 4th. We found the hotel had gone downhill, tired and unclean. The journey to the airport was uneventful, and the taxi driver told us we would be picked up where he dropped us off On.our return I started phoning the taxi firm, and after a prolonged period of time, and 6 calls,I was told a car was on.its way. Luckily I asked where we would be picked up and it was completely different. The driver drove us to mere court on a very roundabout route which took twice as long, and o arrival asked for £29.60. I went into the hotel and the receptionist went out to the driver and sorted it. By thistime 2 hours had elapsed since we landed, and I told the receptionist that we wouldn't use the service again,and was unacceptable. The receptionist answered that "if was Saturday so taxi firm probably busy". Obviously, at 10pm, we couldn't have a meal but we managed to order sandwiches. The bar and tables were covered with dirty glasses and rubbish , and no staff were attempting to clear them. Our room was shabby, the toilet didn't fully flush and leaked around base. Everywhere needed a good clean, there is no excuse for that, or the unprofessional service supposed to be provided.…

We booked 2 rooms over 4 months ago on 'stay & park basis' for 4th February 2023 for flights out/into Manchester Airport. These were all confirmed & paid for in full when we made the booking. With less than one week to go before our arrival the hotel informed our booking agents that the hotel was 'closed' for our stay. When contacting direct they firstly blamed 'Holiday Extras' for the cancellation, then on a second call said that they weren't closed but there was an event on that had been booked for 1 year which required all of the hotels rooms so they were cancelling our booking............oh & sorry! If there was an event on why take the booking? then why leave it until a week before to notify us of the cancellation? I was assured one of the managers would call me to explain/discuss - I'm still waiting for that call. There is no way I would recommend anyone booking this place, we are now left trying to find alternative accommodation with secure parking Thanks Mere Court, great customer service - perhaps your management team should look up that term!…

We stayed overnight at this hotel in January 2023 as a stay, park & fly package. The hotel room was large, clean & comfortable although the furniture is a little dated. The friendly receptionist was very welcoming, gave us information about the hotel and booked a taxi for us to and from the the airport . Food is available in the bar & restaurant, we had a bar meal which was very good. Would throughly recommend this hotel as an overnight stay if you are travelling from Manchester airport as you leave your hotel in their car park for the duration of your holiday.
