Great place,in a lovely setting, well worth a visit for a sunday afternoon roast, nice staff, probably the best around apart from maybe the botanist in alderley edge. Worth getting there early in the summer so you can sit outside

We visited last year and very happy with our choice. Lovely old pub and food was super. Very busy but worth waiting for. Rooms are clean and beds were very comfortable. Staff are very helpful and welcoming.

Ate here twice recently and food is exceptional. Fantastic service too. All food is fresh and of a fab quality The smaller portion idea is excellent and really appreciated. Recommend Sunday lunch and mid week dinner

Sunday Lunch Menu only in The Dog. Humungus Yorkshire Pud with 5 of your 5 a day accompanying the Roast Beef. The Beef was very nice but was certainly not pink as advertised. No room for dessert after the roast.... The smallest of portion control jars containing horseradish and mustards...... I will take my own jars in my handbag next...

Booked this as it was very near to a wedding we were attending at Colshaw Hall and enjoyed a pleasant though brief stay. Very helpful staff when we enquired about an early check in and were advised not only could we do this but would be able to use the room to get changed for the wedding. Arrived around 12.30...

They would not take a booking a few days ago but advised we should be ok if we arrived before 7:30. We came at 7 and took the last table in not a particularly good position. It was a Saturday evening and packed. Larger restaurant than I had anticipated. Friendly people, noisy but good atmosphere. Good sized car park at...

Had the most wonderful meal at At The Dog; beautiful quality food, could not fault any of it. We had the ham shank which was excellent together with the cheese pie also. The lemon posset was delightful as was the cheese and biscuits. Will definitely return.

We visited with our friends and babies for Sunday lunch. It was very busy as the sun was out. We had a nice table outside though moved inside when it clouded over. We both ordered the meze sharing platter but were disappointed with the portion size - one falafel isn't really to share? Though it was all very tasty. The...

Stayed for one night. Room was fine for a country Inn all that we needed. All the staff that we spoke to were excellent. The Inn was very busy but service was very efficient. The food was of high quality both evening and breakfast. It was also nice to see in a country Inn a real fire and Dogs being allowed...
