Needed a room at very short notice on a Friday evening due to an accident on the M11 close to Harlow. The Harlow International Hostel was very accommodating and offered me a double room with free Wi-Fi. The lounge and dining area had a friendly feel and the TV in the dining area was a bonus too. The guest kitchenette...

We stayed only one day and could get a very smal room for three people. The beds are too litle for tall persons but clean. Stuff was really friendly and we could book the room 30 minutes in the evening before check in. Bath and shower are old and full of spiders. Kitchen smells and is dirty.

Lovely location. Friendly staff. Exceptionally clean. Ideal for a one night layover on a budget. Shop in walking distance and a big clean kitchen to prepare food. Pub across the road and lovely parks for a morning run.

I'm a fan of the Post War Landscape so to me Harlow gets a bad press but if opinion was justified on their 'International' Hostel I'd be wrong. Set within a beautiful country park bang in the middle of England's first New Town (Frederick Gibberd - Architect planner, 1947) the Hostel on the outside looks inviting, as was the reception...

I booked a room in the hostel and have been before. Always the same man on reception who is very friendly and welcoming and knows everything as he is always there! On this occasion I booked a room, on arrival the front room was very crowded with kids and some adults, the manager had mentioned that he had a big...

Initially hard to find. Entrance is through a garden gate. The staff are friendly but to be frank the place is a mess. Washrooms without mirrors. Shower doors that don't lock. Apparently there were other showers but in a different building from the room. Horrid smell of damp and the floor in some public area squelches with the water on...

Arrived around 9pm, owner was helpful, food was available to buy and cook so didn't need to go out again. Access to kitchen, coffee all available anytime. Room was small single but clean and reasonably comfortable for bunk bed. For a solo traveller on quick stopover it is ideal as very close to train station, pub next door serves food...

Hostel is very close to the train station with a direct service to Stanstead airport. We had requested drop off to the airport however the woman who checked us in said "we are not a taxi service" and came across as a bit rude so we said not to worry we would take the train. We were jetlagged from 24...

Had to change the booking. No problem. Really nice email conversation. Arrived early. No problem. Friendly people. Great other guests... really small room, but spotless clean, with a cozy bed and a DESK! Wifi worked perfect! Kitchen with all the "tools"... whatever you need; just had to buy the food. Big living room area... Bathroom really clean... Really enjoy my...

Meets and exceeds the standard you would expect for a hostel, please remember this is not a hotel. They offer every basic you would expect for a hostel as well as offering a number of extras. The staff were very friendly, with a genuine enthusiasm and interest in improving your stay. Upon arrival we were given a larger room than what...
