Hi there, You can walk to the town of Granton-on-Spey, but it is pretty small. There is really not good public transportation in the Highlands, so we rented a car to use to explore. Scotland has almost zero tolerance for drinking/driving so I highly recommend a driver for that day. Driving in England is not bad, but if you do I recommend you avoid doing so in the big cities!
