As soon as we arrived we were made very welcome, especially our old Labrador. We are travelling south after visiting the Orkney's and it was worth diverting off the A9 (approximately 25 minutes). Grantown-on-Spey is a lovely town, although the river is a bit of a walk from Seafield Lodge. We had a superior twin room which was very spacious....

This is a perfectly nice Highland hotel. The rooms may not be up to some modern tastes but they were fine for us. The staff at the hotel were quick to respond to e-mails and they were also very helpful when we were there. Worth considering if you want to stay in Grantown-on-Spey.

Stayed for a few nights before travelling to Inverness. Found the Owners extremely friendly and helpful, with Donna and Gemma in the Restaurant/Bar an absolute joy to be with. The food was outstanding. Good location for both an evening walk around Grantown-on-Spey and travelling round the local areas - this is where the local knowledge is so helpful. Thank you,...

For a short stay or golf or fishing on the River Spey this is a very comfy stay. The rooms are bright and well equipped and the service is excellent. The bar is cozy and comes with lots of malt whiskies and a good bar menu. Breakfast is usually included and comes with a full range of eats, cold and...

The hotel is well situated between the town and forest walks.Stayed just one night and our room was decent size with tea/coffee tray and biscuits. Comfortable bed but don't know what I was doing wrong but could not get the shower to run hot. Both our bar meal and breakfast were very tasty. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and...

Fantastic rump steak, melt in the mouth with plenty of sides with it. Was superb. Along with chicken and black pudding, just as lovely! Service was great, young lass who served us was very friendly and made easy, pleasant conversation! Only negative I found was the interior was heavily outdated, leaving myself expecting the food to not be so good,...

We stayed here for one night only, thank goodness. Our room was way past its sell by date, bed was very poor quality with very thin mattress. The bathroom was awful, just a hand held shower and no shower screen so the carpet"!" got soaked. Breakfast was ok, good quality ingredients but not much choice, served in a cold room. Public...

Staff were all very pleasant but hotel a bit tired and old fashioned although seemed clean enough. Breakfast was disappointing. No fresh fruit, yoghurt and small selection of cereal and served quite late 0830-0930 I think although could be earlier on request. The waiting staff did their best but we had to wait about half an hour to get our...

We had 3 rooms for a one night stay in Grantown-On-Spey. We had 2 standard double rooms booked, 1 was for single occupancy, plus 1 superior suite. Superior suite was as described and had obviously been updated recently. The 2 standard rooms were tired in the form of decor and 1 had no functioning heating. After a discussion with the...

This hotel is set well back away from the main street which means it is very quiet, so that even rooms facing the road are not disturbed. We had a large 'superior' room with two single beds which we pushed against each other and zipped together. The en suite bathroom had a bath with shower. There was a large and...
