Large well-heated room with warm bathroom. Clean and attractive. Breakfast included in price of room was excellent every day. Bar was rather small and unattractive, but there is also a lounge available for guests. Staff courteous and helpful. Would definitely book there again.

Went for a dinner meal came out feeling ripped off. Myself and my partner ordered 2 steaks but had to send them back as they didn't taste right, we were then told by the waiter that the chef didn't know how old the steaks were so as you can imagine this put us off our food a little and could...

We stay here at Christmas as a treat, an expensive mistake. Room was warm enough and clean enough but...but the beds were horrendous and the pillows flat,5 would not have been enough. Complained to the reception desk, the answer was, that's a shame that room hasn't been done up yet. So why did they not offer to put us in...

We have returned to this gem of a hotel for numerous years and we were not disappointed this year. Hotel is very cosy and warm with friendly staff that will only be to happy to help you in any requirements that you have. Nice tv lounge with open log fire a nice touch although I would recommend that the Garth...

My son, our dog and I enjoyed a night at the Garth Hotel while going to see the sled dog rally in Aviemore. Our bedroom was a very spacious twin, a sofa and all facilities we needed were there. The bathroom was modern and had a fantastic power shower (better than ours at home) We ate dinner in the bar...

We booked this hotel for 2 nights from 25th to 27th December & were told on booking that they didn't serve dinner on Christmas Day as they serve lunch up until 2.30pm & sandwiches would be available in the evening. At around 7pm we requested another room as it was cold in our room & in the en-suite so the...

A very well appointed hotel. As I arrived I was met and shown to my room, which was clean, tidy and warm. The little extras like the kettle, tea, coffee and hot chocolate were a bonus. I pre ordered a meat platter before I arrived as I knew I wouldn't arrive until after ten, and what a platter. The staff...

In the heavy snows of Boxing Day, I was unable to make it up the track to my rented cottage so I called in to the Garth Hotel and was made most welcome by Mandy and Sheila. I had a lovely room and the breakfast was brilliant. My only negative observation is that Wi-Fi in all the bedrooms would be...

We first visited the Garth when we had to curtail a trip North because of the weather. What a find! We have been returning to the Garth for 15 years and have found it to be a consistently welcoming establishment. Management and staff have changed over the years but we have always found a wonderful group of friendly, engaging and...

The Garth is a good hotel with very friendly staff. We had to eat alone in the boardroom, because we had our small dog with us (she could have been left in the room, and we could have eaten in the restaurant, which woudl have been much better) Breakfast was very good. The room was comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately,...
