From check in to check out, myself and my hubby couldn't have been happier. Room was lovely, comfortable bed, clean, airy and provided us with some lovely extras including bottles of water, fudge, crisps and toiletries. After going into the village to try find something to eat, we returned to the hotel as all restaurants were busy. We were not...

Many thanks for your review and good to hear that you had a great time. The friendly bar team are often commented on and our bar menu is extremely popular, using delicious local produce. Thanks again and hope to see you back again soon.

Very nice place. Beautiful building and gardens. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Bar staff and manager were brilliant even for those of us who stayed up late into the wee small hours. Nice walk down to the promenade from the hotel

We had two single rooms for one night. Both where very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Hotel is ideal if you want somewhere out of the way and reasonably quiet. A real highlight are the beautiful large grounds. A 15 minute gentle walk into the lovely Grange Over Sands.

Thanks for the kind words and that you found everything including the food very good. Yes, our grounds are always a talking point and are well maintained by our experienced garden team.

I booked in October for a July stay and requested rooms next to each other. I rung up to check and they assured me that this was the case, but it wasn't. We were on the same floor, but my sons were down another corridor to me which as well as being not what I especially wanted, was highly inconvenient....

Had afternoon tea recently at the Grand (it's not) with a large group of people. It had been pre-ordered. Some tables had twice as many sandwiches as others. So you can imagine that caused problems. As for the cakes, half a scone, half a profiterole, half a small caramel cake and a quarter of a small strawberry tart each! It...

Well, if I'm honest I don't really know where to start. Check in was smooth and we had a newly refurbished room (which was very grubby and cobwebby, room 308) and that's as good as it got. The rest of the hotel is extremely run down and needs a lot of work. With the exception of the young girl on...

We went here for 1 night on a groupon thank god it was only 1 night. Positives: really beautiful and picturesque hotel outside that's it. Negatives: lots but here's just a few because I really hate writing bad reviews. Hotel was filthy (I get keeping with age etc of hotel this wasn't it), we got dressed up for dinner shouldn't...

Thank you for your comments and sorry to hear that every single aspect of your recent Groupon stay was not up to your expectations. Very nice staff but the rooms are very dated. Brass room keys with big wooden fobs. No hot water one morning due to "broken boiler". No air conditioning which was needed at least to remove the very muggy and damp air in July. Heat was off even though evening temps dropped into the 50's. Typical English breakfast was as it...

Spent two nights here. Food poor to average, one bad meal one main meal good but very bad desert. Breakfast very good. However it was a coach party visit so had a designated menu. The room I had was cosy very comfortable bed. The staff were very good and even put on the heating on in July as it was...

What an amazing big building. Lovely location overlooking the estuary and was lucky enough to have a stunning view across the bay. Friendly service, good cask ale, and hot carver style dinner was really easy with plenty of choice. Breakfast was particularly good and set us up for an active day. Laid back stay, very comfortable. Wi fi in free...
