We are first time campers so have no other experience of other camp sites however we were delighted with this one. The wardens were welcoming and informative, the facilities were excellent and the washrooms, showers and laundry were immaculate. Grange over Sands is a lovely...More

Just spent a very enjoyable 3 nights at Meathop Fell. Very clean facilities. Helpful wardens, just one moan was when a couple in their motorhome left their barking dog unattended in their motorhome for quite a while.

It's a lovely walk into Grange but it's three miles though, but there are lots there to see. Plenty of cafes and pubs and independent shops not department size, just local and small. There is a hotel bar close by which serves meals and drinks, we walked to it in about five minutes but didn't go in. There are no other pubs or inns nearby a car or bike would be required. Not many large Motorhome on the site maybe for that reason. Plenty of car parks in Grange at a reasonable price.
