Had Sunday lunch with a party of 10 of mixed ages. Extensive menu available in addition to traditional Sunday lunch . Entire party enjoyed meal. My seafood dish was good but the sticky toffee pudding is best described as excellent Had not eaten here for a couple of years due to the last meal being at best average. Pleased to...

A reasonably priced B&B with basic amenities but good location for visiting Beamish Museum. Good bar/restaurant menu choice and nice, friendly staff but quality of meals varied during our stay. Anything mentioned though was attended to quickly and courteously.

First visit and went based upon Trip Advisor reviews. Had mains and desserts. All tasty, good portion size and well presented. Friendly service. We will certainly return. Fish Platter, sea Bass risotto, and rib of beef with pulled pork all hit the spot!

We stayed here last weekend for two nights in the annexe accommodation, which was clean and comfortable, and like a little cottage. Set in the countryside. The hotel bar, restaurant was very good, food was appetising. Breakfast was great, self service apart from the cooked breakfast which was ordered. The staff were very pleasant and cheerful, even though they were...

went for a family meal at 6pm recently with a party of 10, one being a two year old child. Waiting staff were fine but the time to get food was over 45 minutes not acceptable with a small child. Childs fish fingers inedible, rock hard and burnt, 3 burgers cremated and the rest just adequate. Will certainly not be...

Called in for lunch and were promptly seated. I was unfamiliar with the local ales and was offered to taste some. Wife and I both opted for the steak and ale pie. This was delicious with tender meat in crusty pastry served with perfectly cooked vegetables and excellent chips. We were served by the charming Julie with just the right...

Last minute booking with friends for a weekend in Newcastle. Well, Gateshead. The staff are great, room was great. Like staying in little cottage. The food in the restaurant was equally awesome. Highly recommended
