All staff were so kind and accommodating. Food service was great with real veggie options. More of a hotel than a B&B, lovely decor and central in town with a small car park nearby to park briefly to take bags in or out.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed three nights at the Old Quay and loved the hotel. The location is perfect on the waterside with a lovely terrace for drinks and meals. Our room was modern and well furnished and the food both dinner and breakfast excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful. Our only negative was that our room faced the street and had Venetian blinds which meant that the lights from the shop fronts shone into our room all night. We think this room should have heavy curtains

We stayed here at the weekend and were not disappointed. We stayed in the loft. The views were amazing and the quality of the suite was exceptional. The food at the hotel was first class and all the staff were excellent and very attentive. I would 100% return.

Very comfortable room (number eight), although I can imagine that in the summer with the windows open over the street it will be noisy. We slept very well - the hotel provides earplugs. Warm, clean and well-equipped room and plenty of hot water in the shower-over-bath bathroom. Pleasantly fragrant toiletries, good towels and bathrobes. A couple of minor maintenance issues that were acted on straight away. Excellent breakfast served overlooking estuary. Excellent staff, too, at reception and in restaurant: Kind, helpful, unfussy and attentive without being intrusive. Professionals who take a pride in their work. Supper was very, very good. I'm often unimpressed by modern British "dabs and smears" but this was the genuine article, a well-judged seasonal menu, some intense flavours (curried potato amuse gueule) without artificiality. Parking was around ?800 yards distant, but a level walk and, for us, entirely manageable. I haven't had such a pleasant time at a British hotel for quite a while. And it was a pleasure to be in Fowey as spring begins.

We loved our stay at The Old Quay House Hotel. The service was very helpful and friendly. . The food was also excellent. Our room was lovely although one of the blinds was broken so we could not open one side. This did not take away from such a lovely space though. It was spotlessly clean and the decor was cosy, clean and welcoming. We wish we could have stayed longer and we will most certainly be back

Excellent location, lovely rooms, friendly helpful staff. Breakfast delicious and only had one evening meal but that too was very nice. Great shower, comfortable bed nice decor - loved it here - would highly recommend. Fowey nice little place with some interesting shops ( not all open out of season) very hilly and parking would be a pain in the summer I guess. Well placed to visit the area.

We have just spent a night here on a DB&B deal and it was Excellent and very special. We were made to feel very welcome, the room was great and the evening meal was simply delicious. The standard was extremely high, presented beautifully and brilliant flavours. Breakfast was very good as well in a lovely dining room looking out onto the River. I can't rate it highly enough!

Lovely hotel right on the river. Our spacious room had a river view and a tiny balcony with a French door. I was able to open the door, pull up the armchair and have a drink enjoying the view and fresh air whilst staying warm. The room was nicely decorated and well equipped. A proper hairdryer (I hate the ones where you have to hold down a button), toiletries, tissues, even a ‘sleep set’ including a pillow mist. Nice big comfortable bed and pillows. We were on a half board deal. Great breakfast with fresh local produce. The chef really can poach and egg properly and cooks great mushrooms. The evening menu is limited. 4 main options including 2 fish and 1 Vegan but they will take requests. We were staying three nights and were offered a different meal for the third night. Take a look at the menu and if it doesn’t suit you let them know. The food is really well cooked. The cod dish and pork dish I had were both lovely. The dining room overlooks the river too. Service is friendly, and the staff eager to please. The bar area is also a pleasant space. There is no car park but permits can be purchased for a local car park. It’s a bit of a walk but you can park briefly outside to unload cases. I love Fowey and this is a great hotel to stay at.
