I took my wife to Lough Erne resort for her birthday. Every staff member from the door man to the waiter's said happy birthday to her, which was amazing. The food and friendliness of the staff is what made this stay 5 star. The rooms could do with an upgrade as could the spa, but that doesn't change my view of this hotel. A great place to stay.

Arrived at the hotel before Christmas with my wife and friends. No welcome. Payment seemed to be the only thing on the staff members mind. We went for a coffee in the lounge and the table had dirty glasses on it and it was sticky. We had to pay before getting our coffee! The room was spacious, well equipped, good bed, pillows and towels. Prior to dinner the hairdryer was not working and my wife phoned reception. There was no reply. I went to reception and eventually a new hairdryer was delivered to the room. We went to the bar lounge and again dirty glasses were on the table and it was sticky. We had to go looking for a staff member to get a drink. This happened on several occasions. Dinner was excellent in the Catalina Restaurant. At around 11.30 pm we left the bar and walked into the lounge. There was a vacuum cleaner lying in the middle of the floor and the tubing and cabling were also in the middle of the floor. I almost fell over these items and I was alarmed as I had underwent surgery to my leg a short time before hand. Staff were standing laughing at reception at the time. I brought these matters to the attention of the General Manager, however, The response was less than satisfactory for a so called 5 star hotel.

Lovely stay at the resort. Greeted on arrival by two lovely gentlemen at the front doors. They were very helpful. Checked in by another helpful and friendly man. Rooms were nice and of a good size. Bar staff were friendly and attentive. I bar menu I felt could have been a wee bit more exciting. Gutted that the Loughside restaurant was closed, but understandable at this time of year. Breakfast was amazing! Great choice and fresh…. Breakfast team were fantastic! The spa was just perfect…. All the staff were professional and the treatments were 5* A big thank you to Bert who kindly took myself and my mum who is disabled on a tour of the resort on the golf cart. He was a fantastic host and his knowledge of the area was excellent. We really enjoyed this. A great stay, can’t wait to come back.
