Spent 3 nights at the hotel and, from the moment we arrived, the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. In fact, having traveled quite extensively, the service and attentiveness of the staff here is exceptional in comparison to other hotels with a 5 star rating. It makes such a difference when the staff on reception actually remember...

The afternoon tea was nothing to rave about, have had much better at more reasonable prices elsewhere. Also didn't realise a service charge would be added, which is a bit of a cheek considering we didn't receive any sort of decent service. Most disappointed and won't be returning.

We haven't stayed in the hotel, but the lunch is fab. Lovely place for a coffee with friends to have a good catch up. The food isn't cheap, but you get plenty of it and my friend who had the full breakfast was the envy of our table!

We stayed for one night on the package which includes dinner. We have stayed at this hotel several times before and the restaurant has not always been up to standard however this time it was excellent. I had sole and my husband had cod and both were delicious. The rooms are lovely and make up for the fact that it...

This was a lunchtime visit with two of us looking forward to a location, which had come highly recommended. The location on the River Stour is certainly pleasant but the experience left us wishing we had gone somewhere else. The restaurant was not busy but we were kept waiting to be served while other people, who came in after us...

This was our third stay at The Captain's Club and whilst we throughly enjoyed our two night stay, we did feel that service, especially at dinner, was not as good as it had been. We like modern, contemporary hotels and the hotel certainly fits the bill. The overall ambience is good and the staff, generally are very friendly. The rooms...
