We visited Hollands Wood campsite for the bank holiday weekend Friday through to Monday. So far (Sunday) we have had no hot water in the shower blocks closest to our tent... not the end of the world but the ladies showers in the next block along aren't hot either, so unless you want a 5-10 min walk to the other...

Pros: staff really friendly, first site that I've been to where you're not camping right next to someone, horses, kids can cycle round site with freedom, location. Cons: trees are lovely but it means you're not in the sun, showers were Luke warm/cold, toilet block was too dirty for me... you get out the cold shower and stand in mud...

Currently staying here for Easter weekend. Such a beautiful site - freedom to pitch where you want, lots of privacy and space, good toilet block, massive open space for children to run around......quite possibly my most favourite campsite I have ever been to. When we arrived, the chap who greeted us (Graham) was so friendly and welcoming, we instantly felt...

We have been many times to hollands wood now over the years and we are never disappointed, it's a great forest camp site with good facilities. We love the freedom of the new forest with the horses running wild and the fact you can easily ride bikes as a family to other near towns. Brockenhurst, beaulieu, and the near by...

Nice place to camp with family. I felt the showers/toilets could of been clean more then what they had done. Floor was slippery (toilet area)when it rained. Apart from that we had no problem finding an area to pitch. Just make sure all food is locked away probably as the wild horses do like to help themselves and even if...

We had 15 nights here, it was a great site, but now seems to be over crowed and noisy, new mangers dont seem to inforce the quite after 11, we noticed a group of campers who had obviously had a night on the beer as there pitch was littered with beer cans, crisp wrappers etc, the warden rode past 3...

We had a really nice over night stay here at the weekend. The site is nicely laid out with 3 wash and toilet facilities and you really don't notice it's a 600 pitch place. You can stroll straight into the New Forest and Brockenhurst is only a 20min walk away. The kids loved being able to fish in the stream...

Lots of choice for pitches, the wardens were helpful in suggesting a good spot and it was really quiet after 10pm. Hollands Wood is in an excellent location (a short walk to Brockenhurst).Would recommend for couples or families as a great base to explore the New Forest.

We have stayed here several times, with and without our children and on arrival you chose your spot rather than a marked out pitch, as we went mid-week when the schools were back, there was plenty of choice. The horses have free reign to wander around the site so be careful with food storage if you are staying in a...

Mind out for the horses as they will help themselves to your food. A four legged family entered our tent and proceeded to eat our break fast before we had to shoo them away. That aside the site is great right in some woods loads to explore really enjoyed it. Although the tents are very close together.
