My husband & I were on a 2 week driving trip throughout England, this past April, 2016. We felt lucky to find this gem. We liked it so much we stayed 2 nights. We were greeted warmly by hosts, Christine & James. The room was spotless & tastefully decorated. The bath contained a modern, high powered shower, an amenity that,...

We arrived in the evening after a long drive and were greeted with a pot of tea and home made biscuits. Our room was spotless and the breakfast was wonderful: fresh fruit salad followed by thick rashers of bacon. A comfortable place to stay with two lovely, welcoming hosts.

I stayed for a single night, and could not be more pleased with this fantastically located B&B. The room is clean and tidy, and the en suite absolutely terrific with a spacious, powerful shower. At the last minute, I had to change my booking from a single to a twin booking, and the owner has no problem, and provided a...

This is a small (one twin room en suite) B&B. Hosted by Christine it is super clean and well appointed. The food was really good and Christine could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommended for budget travel on the Walney to Whitby cycle route.

We stayed with Christine and James for 3 nights. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was good - plenty of choice and plenty of food. Our hosts were very helpful with info on the district. The town has plenty to see, with a ruined castle, pretty river, quaint shops and houses. A must see is Bowes House. It...
