My husband and I celebrated our wedding at the lodge on the loch of Aboyne in October and could not fault it. The setting was simply beautiful- perfect for photographs in front of the loch. The food was excellent - much better than usual mass produced food in a big event - it was fresh, homemade and tasty! They have...

2 nights in a fairly small room but with beautiful views over the loch. No wardrobe and not enough storage space for clothes. Drawback was other guests having an early morning smoke on the deck below our window - loud chat rudely awakened us! Walls also fairly thin! Breakfast by 9.30 and checkout by 10am - too early and not...

Stayed in the Glentanar Suite for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago. Giant room with great views across the loch. Ate and drank in the restaurant both nights and the food was very nice. No complaints at all.

Stayed here overnight with my family. The setting, view, weather and rooms were first class. On arrival at the 'reception' desk the owner had difficulty finding my reservation which was hardly a warm welcome. I started to think I would need to sleep in the car! It was pointed out , by the bold circling of a 'clause' on the...

We stayed on a tour of Scotland last month and it was one of the best nights sleep I have had. The hosts were very accommodating as we arrived late after a huge detour and they opened the kitchen and prepared us a lovely 2 course meal. Will stay again next time we are in the area.
