Stayed last night was supposed to go back tomorrow and Friday for work. Told my office not to book me in there again. Bed was about a 30 degree angle and had to jam my arm behind mattress to stop rolling off other side had about 3 hours sleep before my drive home. Place needs gutted top to bottom. £14...

A friend and I stopped in at the Huntly Arms for lunch. While the food was of a decent quality, we felt incredibly uncomfortable to hear a couple of staff being loudly chastised by who we assume was hotel management and also the hotel's chef. It was totally unnecessary and completely unprofessional to be doing this in earshot of the...

This hotel needs lots of TLC, It does look like they have started as bathroom looked freshly tiled and beds were comfy and clean. Worrying part was the lack of fire extinguishers, looked like the had all been removed and there was no safety regulations in room. The hotel was ok for 1 night but so glad it wasn't a...

Stayed for 1 night mid-week. It's a nice looking building from the outside. Once you step inside it's not so good. Very dark and dingy. The room I was given was in a terrible state. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The pipes for the heating were not attached to the wall and made a lot of noise when ever...

We were a bit apprehensive about visiting, seeing as some reviews said 'worst hotel in Britain' etc These reviews must be out of date as it's now under new ownership and it's really not so bad. It suffers from stuff that can't really be helped in an old building, like baffling corridors that seem to twist and turn everywhere and...

I think some of the reviews of this hotel are really unfair. It is really clean and our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean as was the large bathroom. We only met one member of staff who was charming and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. This is a really old building and is therefore a bit rambling and creaky....

I read the reviews before I went and was slightly concerned but upon arrival at The Huntly Arms I was very impressed.. The hotel is in the process of being re-vamped and has been taken over er by a hotel chain and what they are doing is working. The staff are friendly, the food cooked by the chef there is...

Thankfully, I have a good sense of humour, otherwise our Christmas getaway could have been a disaster! We arrived early evening on Christmas Eve, full of Christmas cheer and expecting a lovely, relaxing time in what we'd hoped was a beautiful highland hotel. We did receive a warm welcome from an extremely helpful and sympathetic young lady from Moldova, Natalia,...

Our room was cramped, noisy with dirty rusty Windows which ran with condensation even with the Windows open. The carpet was stained, the toilet seat broken and the bedside light flickered on and off. The carpets in the public areas were worn and threadbare with dangerous patches of torn weave, the edging on the stairs was loose. There was a...
