We were a group of nine who should have booked given our size but the very welcoming young staff quickly put two tables together and made us feel at ease. The menu was fairly small which I like as it shows the food will be freshly cooked and the variety suited our party. The restaurant had a cosy atmosphere with...

Dropped in whilst in Speyside for a long weekend. Nicely done interior. It was busy for off season, good selection on the menu. We had the fish and chips and the fish platter. The platter was well presented and a good selection of fresh fish. Will hopefully be back.

Overpriced food and accomodation - below average food - rubbish and not very attentive service - very unproffesionaly managed - made to feel unwelcome and then ripped off and overcharged when checking out - definitely not to be recommended!!!!!!!

Just having breakfast in the Boat, everything about our stay has been flawless. Friendly welcome, great food, lovely room overlooking the river. Room is well appointed with a nice from bed, spotlessly clean and supplies of tea and coffee. Food is tasty and with very generous portions. Can't ask for better. We'll be back!

Great staff! That's all you need. I needed to leave early, so I was asked instead of a breakfast can they pack me a lunch, the simple beauty of service. Great room "8" no squeaky floorboards. They could do something about the tricky window and poor wifi. But hey who cares. Well done guys!

We visited the Boat Inn twice in the last three days for dinner, in the bar, as we have two small dogs. The food was excellent and the staff were all fantastic, very welcoming and our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed the treats and fuss made of them! The food in the bar is the same as the restaurant and is...

We booked for our party of six to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. The food varied from very good soups, burgers and fish, to tasteless beetroot salad. The service was very poor. Orders were taken wrongly or not at all. Twice we had to remind the waiting staff about dishes that hadn't arrived so some of our party had almost finished...

The Boat Inn is situated next to the river Dee in the picturesque town of Aboyne... The pub offers three changing real ales along with the usual other pub drink options, plus great quality food... we always stop off here when up North to try the excellent fish & chips or other amazing food... you can even ask the bar...
