Having just returned from our 3rd visit and certainly won't be our last! We are already planning for next year. Diane and Michael made us really welcome and made our stay very comfortable. The Anchorage is in a superb location, being right on the seafront, with excellent views from the front. Also good views of the harbour from the back. So the...

We stayed at the Anchorage for four nights during the spring bank holiday week. We were greeted with a warm welcome from Diane. The room was bright and airy and very clean. Whether your room is on the front or rear, you'll be treated to either a sea view or the picturesque harbour. Breakfast is of a very high standard...

We stay here every year along with a number of our friends and look forward to the homely nature of our stay. The views are equally as good whether you you looking out the front at the beach or at the harbour at the back. The breakfast is another thing to look forward to. Thanks Mike and Di

Lovely room with a fantastic sea view. Great location at the end of the harbour, so easy reach of the sea front or harbour, or the town centre itself. Friendly hosts with nothing too much trouble. A great cooked breakfast, means you can skip lunch.

We have just booked to go back to The Anchorage for our family get together in October. If you want friendly, happy hosts you will find it here. We have been going for many years and would be devastated if we weren't able to stay with this lovely couple, it is like home from home. No it's not a boutique...

We first stayed with Diane and Michael in 2010, we initially booked as we were able to take our little Jack Russell with us. Since then, every year we manage to get to Weymouth at least 3 times & we always stay at The Anchorage. I think we have stayed in most of the rooms now and find they are...

Check In: Quick and painless. The Room: We were in Room 6 with a Harbour side view. The room itself was plenty big enough for the two of us. It had a double bed and a single so is probably fine for a small family. The room itself does look a little dated in its décor (wallpapered walls and ceilings)....

Absolutely nothing bad to say. Check in was easy and Diane was very friendly. We had a lovely clean and fresh room with great views of the beach. Breakfast was just perfect. I highly recommend The Anchorage.

When we arrived, I asked the owner, Diane, what time breakfast was, to be told very brusquely that it was between 8.30am and 9.00am and that the cooker is switched off at 9am! I immediately thought that a thirty-minute 'slot' for breakfast was very unforgiving, especially when you consider people are usually there because they're on holiday and enjoying themselves!...

I would like to thank them for their review, but I won't. Apart from plagarising other reviews and being untruthful what amazes me the most is if things were that bad why not speak to us as soon as they discovered something is not up to their expectations, I would and I would definately not stay anywhere which I considered...
