We arrived on the 30th Sept to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room was lovely with a view over the garden and fields down to the sea and plenty of teas and coffee.. We had booked a meal at the Crab Café about 3/4 mile away and the owner Jane kindly offered to drive us there so we just had...

We booked a double room at this establishment for the 26 & 27 September as a treat for our 30th wedding anniversary & also a visit for my own personal reasons. When we got there, we found the B & B was on the edge of a housing estate which is not made clear in the description. The room we...

Following overnight stays by secret Hotel Inspectors we’ve been awarded AA 4* Gold rating for the third year. In October we’re receiving an award for one of the three Best B&B's in Dorset at the Dorset Tourism Awards Ceremony (that Inspector actually stayed in the room you booked). We’re also recent winners of Channel 4’s Four In A Bed. The...

We stayed at Swallows Rest B&B for a long weekend with the girls a couple of weeks ago. The accommodation was really nice, clean and welcoming. Very spacious too (we were in the self catering house). Very comfortable and everything you need. It was lovely to look out the bedroom window and see one of the pigs munching away on...

Thanks for taking the time to leave a great review. Our self catering holiday home and bungalow are always very popular. We're on hand next door for any problems but leave our guests to enjoy their privacy. Guests are always welcome in the farmhouse and in the gardens to visit the animals or relax in the summer house. We hope...

Had the opprotunity to stay in Swallows Rest for a night midweek in early Sept. The room was great and the location superb, and yes with Jemima Puddleduck and the Empress of Blandings in the gardens. What gives this B&B the edge is the superb home grown eggs, marmalade, and produce generally. It's a place where you feel healthy as...

Excellent! The animals are always a great attraction. We're slightly out of control with our ducks, pheasants and geese. They're everywhere!

This is British B&B at its best - beautiful peaceful setting by the sea, friendly farm animals, hearty breakfast and home-baked afternoon tea . Every thoughtful attention to detail has been taken care of and the most hospitable welcome from Jane and Keith - a gem of a place and a real treat

We (two adults and a three and five year old) stayed at Swallows Rest (Swallows Suite) for three nights in August 2016 and loved every minute of it. The suite was large, clean and very well equipped with everything we needed including a super king sized bed that was so comfortable it was depressing to come home to normality! The...

I have stayed here now 3 times, and will be going back in a week. I come to Weymouth for the water sports and LOVE camping at Swallows Rest. Great location - a few mins drive from Portland Harbour; a nice pub round the corner; and excellent facilities on site. Small and simple, but making camping easy, family friendly, and...

Jane and Keith take great pride in their home - and are continuing to make it something special. Home-made baking for guests every day, incredible breakfasts, large garden with rare breed birds, waterfowl and pot bellied pigs wandering and waddling everywhere. We had never stayed anywhere quite like this. Our traditional-looking room was spotlessly clean and offered great views across...
