We stayed one night at the guesthouse in one of the rooms with the fantastic spa bath. After 4 nights camping our night here was luxury! A warm welcome, great night's sleep and very good breakfast. Can't find fault.

Having your own spa bath is one luxury which we find many guests really enjoy. Just ask if you want to have one in your room and we will make sure you get the right room. These rooms are available on our website, but not all Internet sites. Thanks for your great compliment. Tony.

Just returned from a second trip to Fairfield Gardens. The hotel is very welcoming and the rooms are comfortable with modern bathrooms. The garden is tranquil and a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. The breakfast is lovely, cooked to order exactly how you like it. It is only a minute down hill to Bowness and...

One of the best things about running a guesthouse is seeing guests coming back, and sometimes again and again. We are thrilled that you enjoy it, and look forward to seeing you next time. Thanks Tony

I booked this using a Christmas present voucher and added on 2 extra nights for a birthday celebration. From the first call to book, there was a warm welcome and a willingness to understand our needs. We really can't rate highly enough the accommodation, the breakfast and the service with a smile ! Victor at breakfast was always helpful, the...

Tony and Liz have a lovely place in a great spot to explore The Lakes . Although situated on a steep bank it is literally a couple of minutes walk into the hustle and bustle of "downtown " Bowness. Room was spotless and very comfortable, bathroom was very clean with large bath and shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast...

We are really pleased that we were able to make your celebration a special one. And thanks for mentioning our waiter, he works so hard, and has a real passion for customer service. It is nice for him too when he is recognised. See you soon!

The hotel is a little old-fashioned, our room was a bit small but did the job for a night in Windemere. The staff is nice and helpful, the garden at the front is really pretty. What pleased us was the delicious breakfast in the morning in a lovely room. Fantastic service from the waiter and a good choice of food...

Thanks for the kind words, especially for the staff, they really do try hard, and appreciate being recognised. The house interior was designed by local designer Nicola Rudge and is based on the Art Nuveau period of the early 20th century. It's simple clean style goes well with our ethos of a quiet child-free environment and location, to help you...

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was absolutely lovely and plenty of room as there was 3 of us sharing. Tony and Liz were perfect hosts. When we arrived we were shown to our room and Tony did a check to make sure everything was okay. The bathrooom was bright and airy. The choice at breakfast was great. Nothing...

We are fortunate to have a room which is big enough for three single beds and that creates a unique offering for small groups or a family with older children. Just ask for details on our website or call. And yes we are doubly lucky to be the only guesthouse in Bowness Bay which has as many parking spaces as...

We stayed here for 2 wonderful nights. When we arrived we got an upgrade to a deluxe room as it was empty this particular weekend, which included a spa bath and seperate spa shower. This made our stay perfect. The breakfast was wonderful with a selection of fruit, cereal or a full English. The waiter was always very helpful and...

We are fortunate enough to have some rooms on the ground floor which helps those with mobility difficulties. If you need one just ask. On this occasion we were so pleased that the guest was not seriously ill, and though it turned out fine we were happy to do the right thing at the time. Tony

We had a welcoming stay over the weekend. Very clean room and comfortable, modern en-suite facilities. I would definitely recommend if anyone is staying in the Lakes. 200 yards down the road is the town of Bowness where there is plenty of restaurants and shops and Lake Windermere.
