Hotel is in an ideal location, and the breakfast was delicious. Decor is outdated, especially in the room. Margaret was lovely, Brian might not be everyone's cup of tea. He was pretty awkward and a bit patronising especially when we arrived, but polite enough overall. Was a bit disappointed at lack of amenities the room had to offer. Bed was...

Firstly this is on the main road between Bowness and Windermere - our website showed it on a side street so we had difficulty finding it. It is closer to Bowness rather than Windermere which is a big plus. However having found it we were pleasantly surprised - it really was home away from home. A cordial welcome followed by...

Booked on late rooms for a weekend break,we're met in the car park by Margaret letting us know where to park, we stayed in room 5 which was at the back of the house, very quiet, comfy bed, clean, good shower, the guest house itself is a lately dated decor wise but clwan. Thursday to Sunday break courtesy of our youngest daughter for our anniversary. First visit to Elim Bank and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and warmth received from arrival to departure. Our daughter was apprehensive due to some negative reviews, but speak as you find, we enjoyed the Service provided and loved every minute.

Stayed here for 3 nights room No.1. Greeted by Brian who is a lovely Gentleman who explained everything. Went to my room on the first floor facing the road. Still very quiet at night. Nice size room with on suite bathroom. All very clean, bed comfortable, T V and tea/coffee making facilities. Met Margaret, Brian's other half, could not be...

We read a review after booking which suggested avoiding room 6, when we arrived we got room 6 however and this is not to counteract the previous review it was lovely and clean and perfectly fine. There is a fire exit in the room which is actually a bonus as you can open the door and get air in when...

We found this hotel online and having read the reviews, we gave it a go. Four nights we stayed, Sunday through Thursday. First impressions when you walk in are that of an old relatives house. The decor is fine, but as a 27 year old, i wouldn't have it in my house. Certainly not a criticism. You then meet Brian...

Margaret and Brian what can we say. Felt like we had known them for years. Such a friendly lovely couple that should be enjoying retirement...

Arrived at Elim Bank around 2.30 and got straight to our room (2), which was clean and roomy. The owners were very welcoming and were happy to help with anything. The breakfast was acceptable and cooked fresh to order, all be it a little slow service. the price of the room was I suppose acceptable for Windermere but I am...

We arrived in the late afternoon on Saturday for a one night stay to be greeted by the lovely owners who had reserved a space for us in the rather awkward and small car park and guided us to it. Very friendly and helpful on check in and obviously interested in the comfort of their guests. I guess that rooms...
