We stayed here in June for 2 nights and was in the room in the roof of the cottage it was fabulous with everything we wanted and more the host Sue was excellent and very friendly from the moment we checked in and was full of helpful Information about places to visit etc .The breakfast was great and set us...

Another great weekend at Mays Cottage Sue is the best host The rooms are spot on and always spotless and nothing is too much trouble Nothing is too much trouble and sue's breakfast local interest stories are not to be missed Breakfast is good and plentiful You wont be disappointed

My wife and I travelled to Bowness-on-Windermere to celebrate our wedding anniversary over the weekend of 5 & 6 July. We have always stayed in Hotels when visiting Cumbria, so staying at May Cottage on a B&B basis was a new experience for us both. Me and my partner stayed at May cottage a few months ago . First impressions were great. Sue and Len made us feel right at home from the word go. The cottage is very clean and tidy. We will be going back sometime this year and I am looking forward to some good banter off Sue.

We stayed at this lovely B&B on our way to Edinburgh. Very conveniently located, a walk to everything. We were in the loft room at the top of the stairs, a very comfortable room with great views, very compact with everything we could possibly have wanted. A lovely large bathroom. Very quiet. Stayed for two nights in the annex room at the top of the house which was on the small side with sloping ceilings. Bathroom small too and only a bath no shower. The room is extremely noisy in relation to next doors shower which when on sounds like an express train. Bed was two singles zipped together and very comfortable....

May cottage is a very small cosy B&B in Bow Ness. It's location is great. 5 minutes walk to the cruise pier at Bow Ness. You have good choice of eateries around the place as well. This was our first stay and it certainly won't 'be our last! Can't wait to go back soon.We stayed for 3 nights during May and couldn't have been made more welcome by Sue and Len.
