Having stayed here twice before prior to the extensive refurbishment I can honestly say it is beautiful. Whilst keeping the original façade of the hotel internally they have done an amazing job. We have just spent a night in a Lake View room and it was gorgeous. The bed I have to say is the biggest most comfortable bed I...

This was a return visit to the Laura Ashley Belsfield following our stop for a late summer holiday at the hotel last year. As a base for touring the Lakes, the hotel cannot be faulted - its location in Bowness is ideal. Immediately adjacent the lake cruiser piers and with bus stops either side of the road (serving routes between...

We had afternoon tea at this hotel. The view over Lake Windermere is fantastic. Afternoon tea is lovely, the warm scones were one of the best I have ever tasted. The staff are friendly and helpful and constantly checking that everything is ok. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and highly recommend it for any special celebration.

My wife and I stayed at the Belsfield hotel as a treat for here birthday, on arrival 15.00 was told the room wasn't ready, decided to wait and have a drink in the bar, but unfortunately due to a wedding no seats were available. Once checked in, there were "marks" on one of the pillow cases and 2 of the...

Wonderful views from the restaurant overlooking lake Windermere. My family and myself enjoyed a very pleasant lunch in the dining room which was very relaxing. The food was tasty and I think this is a very pleasant place for a lunch break plus the decor is very Laura Ashley.

We had a cosy room directly overlooking the gardens and lake, so the view was great. The bathroom is spacious and pretty much perfect - easily adjustable water temperature, great water pressure from the shower. The little details really make a difference in terms of comfort and convenience - towels and bath robes are available, there's a kettle for hot...

Great location overlooking the lake and lovely hotel grounds with handsome garden. Nostalgic charming decor is retained with a modern entrance that complements the overall motif. Stayed in the family suite which was spacious even with a double bed -- which was very comfy! Rain shower head was perfect. Hotel has a large dining room (restaurant) with a fantastic view...

Visited for one night before Easter with my family and had a wonderful time. Even if meal in the Brasserie was wonderful and they catered for my daughter who is 'dairy free'. Morning breakfast buffet was a treat. Rooms and service were of a high standard, great views and car parking. A totally relaxing place to stay. Only one downside...

We stayed for 3 nights over Easter to celebrate my 50th birthday. We paid a lot of money for a suite but were disappointed to find it was simply a larger room with a sofa in it (not even facing the lake view), so it didn't feel like a suite. On arrival, the hotel is everything you could wish for...
