We stayed here for one night (Saturday) as part of a family group. We paid a small fortune for two executive rooms (£600) as we were informed that there were no family rooms available although it was booked in January. I was really shocked that the room did not have any windows - just a skylight window that could only...

Had a lovely cream tea with my other half. Though it seemed pricey at first, you actually got enough food. The scones (yes plural-we got two each) were still warm and the poppy seed and lemon cake was extremely moist and tasty. Would like to especially thank Helen whose customer service was second to none. Couldn't do enough to help....

We were overlooking the lake, with a few boats and swans in view. The hotel is nicely landscaped, with a terrace to sit outside and have a drink and chill. The room was fine, nothing special, but nice, breakfast was ok as well. Great spot to take a walk around town, a few neat shops. Staff very personable.

After deciding to call in for a drink, having completed a leisurely boat cruise we were met by a surly barman who pulled a face when we suggested purchasing a drink and sitting out on the terrace area. As this establishment has a menu outside we assumed we would be made welcome as non residents. Consequently with this less than...

Hotel is classy and in an ideal location on Lake Windermere. Within walking distance of small town with plenty of bars and restaurants within 5 minute walk. The marina area is approx. 100 metres away with boat hire and ferry transport available. Ideal for stay in summer. Hotel gym is small but wide range of equipment. There are classes in...

Traditional Macdonalds hotel so what you'd expect from this established brand. Restaurants and bar spacious. Room comfortable. Good views of Windermere. Centrally located so parking is an issue - best to treat yourself to valet parking.

Even as you walk through the revolving doors at the entrance you can feel the warmth of welcome from this hotel. We stayed in a premier room as there wasn't a suite available and were actually thrilled with the room, which like the suites overlooks the lake. There are two things about the old England that I am not very...

Good for our stay. Hotel was good. The town was beautiful but we couldn't find a single restaurant to pop in and eat dinner. They all provided pre booking service. What an embarrassing attitude for a town like Windermere where supposed to be tourist friendly!! How on earth we supposed to know we should book a table on any if...

Our room wasn't the best we have stayed in but had all the usual amenities comfy bed etc. We Paid £194.50 a night. The problem was I had my handbag stolen from the room, we reported it to the concierge (Ryan) who was very professional in his handling of the situation. The next morning the manager came to speak to...
