Views over LAke Windermere and a super restaurant make Lindeth Howe a lovely place to spend a weekend. We have had both summer and winter breaks there and always enjoyed the great service, the subtle decor and the ambience of the place. A short drive from Blackwell, Beatrix PotterExperience and Wordsworth's Dove Cottage, the hotel is a lovely place to...

Couples trip for my boyfriends 35th birthday. Stayed 1 night. Lovely welcome, tour of the hotel on arrival. The hotel itself is gorgeous, our room was fully refurbished and felt very new. Large room, large tv, lots of wardrobe space, full length mirror (rare in smaller hotels), beautiful bathroom with lovely fluffy towels and robes, the bed was super comfy!...

If you are looking for a real treat, great service, stunning food and a very relaxed atmosphere, then you should try this place. The staff are very friendly, the food, is not only presented like a Michelin starred restaurant, but tastes fantastic too. My only criticism, which is rather petty, is that is quite limited parking, and the additional parking...

The hotel is located in beautiful surroundings about a mile walk from the town. Was disappointed with their Gluten free options. I discussed me dietry requirements before booking and was assured that they could accommodate me no problem. We ordered the cream tea with scones. The waitress looked really put out when I requested a GF scone said they would...

Enjoyed a weekend break at this hotel. Public areas very smart but room we had was rather tired with dated decor, all a bit worn out! Breakfast was average when you consider the price and the 4 star ratings. Better breads and coffee could improve this. Very professional staff team though and would maybe return if we could pick a...

I stayed here on a Tuesday night and arrived around 18.00. Mark who was on reception duty was a most welcoming host, a quick tour round the hotel and its varied & extensive facilities was provided which was really helpful and a great introduction. The hotel is well decorated with very pleasing furnishings throughout. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed, spotlessly...

This was our first trip to Windermere and indeed to this charming little hotel. The hotel is situated within walking distance of Bowness-on-Windermere and you pass by the water ferries etc on route to the town, a taxi from Windermere train station is around £10. On our arrival we were greeted by a pleasant member of staff who gave us...
