This is a quiet location close to Bowness and a small B&B, 'just what we wanted'. The owners, Harry and Marie are friendly and down to earth It was nice that they spent some time chatting with us just after breakfast - we enjoyed listening to stories of their life together and knowledge and facts of the local area. Breakfast... More

My wife and I stayed here for 5 days for our 1st year anniversary in June 2013. The room was great and bed very comfy. We love the area as per previous visits to Cumbria, this was a perfect base to begin our travels around the lakes. Breakfasts were lovely and willing to help any needs and plenty of choices... More

Took the in-laws for a few days in the lakes, Harry and Marry made all of us feel very welcome. And yes the breakfast is as good as the other guests had stated. The guest house is a mile from Windermere golf club, which is stunning. We will be coming back.

The delicious, fresh breakfast (fruit salad, yoghurt, local sausages, mushrooms etc - and Marie making sure I'd had enough!) set me up for a good day's hill-walking and then to come back in the evening to a hot shower, peaceful room and comfortable bed made the B&B excellent. Marie and Harry are, as everyone says, so friendly and helpful -... More

Loved our dog, which meant a lot and offered to dog sit him on our evening out!. 10 min walk to Lakeside & only £5 taxi from town, if you are out at night. Lovely breakfast and summed up... More

We booked this b & b for a one night stay and for this purpose it was ok. The cottage is located approx half a mile from the centre of Bowness, an easy stroll. The bedroom was small but we had known this when we booked and it was adequate for our one night stay. A previous review states it... More
