What you get is nice but a disappointing experience if you booked based on the website. My husband and I came for afternoon tea on a Sunday as part of our 1st wedding anniversary celebrations. We had researched a lot of venues and choose Storrs hall based on the website description which said sandwiches and savouries and provided a tea...

It was a really good time and the hotel is lovely although we do not recommend the dinner in the main restaurant - at £52 pp this was very expensive for what is essentially "nouveau cuisine". Much better food and value in the bar and a good selection as well.

Fabulous in every way, from the moment we arrived and were greeted by Fred, to the immaculately presented bedroom with adjoining living room and contemporary wet room with a very toasty heated floor. All staff very attentive throughout the weekend and service was impeccable. Food served was of a very high standard and exactly what we expected from this kind...

A beautiful building in a stunning location. First class service from staff who showed they cared. Food was excellent and live up to expectations. Some parts need modernising (or at least replacing) but not easy to keep the character at the same time.

Lovely hotel. Room 20 has a brilliant Lake view, I promise you, you won't be disappointed. The beds are comfortable and the staff cannot do enough for you. The only thing I would say is that they need to change the menu more often. Other than that a lovely stay.

Great location, fabulous views over breakfast and excellent food. Team are very friendly and helpful. Check out team more friendly and welcoming than check in team. Refurbished room was great. Disappointed with new no dog policy which will compromise any future visits

Wow! What I say, from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles from every member of staff. They were friendly, helpful and really went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best! I also witnessed them go the extra mile for a young couple, making the day of the proposal truly magical....

You'll encounter a 40 minute detour en route to the hotel from Newby Bridge. Call the hotel first and get an update. The hotel itself is in an ideal location with helpful staff, good food, and comfortable accommodation. Watch the drink prices, they're expensive...
