Visited the duke of Edinburgh Friday and found it quite easily in the car. Its located near a tesco & a little retail park containing various shops and restaurants. Staff on main desk are warm and welcoming and very informative when telling you what you need to know about your stay. Was located on the first floor and was surprised...

Centrally located, extremely comfortable, car parking, WiFi, great breakfast. Everything I needed and will definitely return to this hotel on our next visit and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The lift is slow and encouraged us to use the stairs..... Lol

The hotel is very close to the train station and convenient for Abbey Road. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast good. The choice of beer in the bar was excellent.I was visiting Barrow to meet friends and did not eat at the Duke but would like to return to eat.

On arriving we were given a car park pass for the duration of our stay which was opposite the hotel. Our suite was huge, tastefully decorated , clean, lots of tea / coffee and biscuits. There...

I have to say what I expected to be a good hotel was quite a let down. The service was poor, the staff didn't seem to have any personality from check in to breakfast, apart form one dark haired housekeeper who came to the room, she should have a promotion . The rooms are adequately furnished but for an Executive...
