First of all I have to say this hotel has a very nice & welcoming atmosphere. In fact it was the reason we booked the Christmas meal with entertainment. I'm guessing we were possibly part of the same night as Andrea who left the comments yesterday. Overall the meal was very very average. The entertainment was supposed to be a...

Been here twice now for food and we are very impressed at how far the place has come. Definitely worth a visit. The attentive staff are on their game. Decor is very warm and the atmosphre is just right. Sunday lunch was a real treat. I checked out the information on the rooms and can only say it looks very...

So me and my work colleagues visited last night for Christmas night out. We paid 35 pound for this and was truly gutted to say it wasn't worth the money. The food was really poor, I ordered a ham with bubble and squeek mash dish and was really looking forward to it when it came I left it as was...

Stayed here on business after visiting the nearby Doxford Business park. What an absolute gem of a hotel/inn. Close to the city centre and station it's perfect. Lovely bar area and restaurant. Had my evening meal here which was fantastic - great menu and range of cocktails and drinks. Had a G&T in a proper glass. Gammon for the main...

Stayed overnight in family room with two small dogs. Lovely comfortable room. The evening meal was incredible value. Will certainly stay again. Special mention for Leanne who appears to work 18 hrs a day and is so helpful. Thanks

This is a genuinely dog friendly place. Staff always go out of their way. The food is good and there is a decent veggie and gluten free menu. We quite often pop in for lunch or brekkie with the dog. He always gets a biscuit off the staff. I would recommend this place to anyone.

A hotel in a very convenient location within a short walk of the centre of Durham yet with easy parking. It is also close to the station and buses. The bedroom and bed were very comfortable. The staff are a great asset being friendly and helpful. We stayed at a quiet time so there might be noise from the restaurant...

We stayed here in September for one night for our wedding anniversary. The hotel is at the end of a quiet street just off the centre of Durham. There was plenty of car parking, we parked up on the morning and informed them we were here but were going into Durham for the day and would check-in later in the...

We liked so much about this hotel, friendly service, good meals, very pleasant decor and well maintained rooms. The only slight drawback is that we could hear practically every noise from the room next to us.
