The receptionist - Sarah - was very friendly and helpful. My mum and I had never been to Durham before and Sarah accommodated us well, giving us tips on the best places to see before we left. Can't fault anything at all in terms of the condition of the room, very clean and cosy. There was an incident during the...

What a great hotel for the money. Really helpful staff and great service. Very comfortable beds with great linen and pillows. We didn't eat breakfast but it looked really nice. Costa coffee available really cheaply in the bar. Close to town centre and loads of good restaurants.

Very clean, friendly staff can see that it's been recently refurbished. Stayed in other similar accommodation but this was the quietest with no slamming room or fire doors in a morning. Leisure break to area not visited before.

We regularly go to Brewers Fayre especially for their top value special food evenings. Our favourite is the Thursday Curry Evening. Great value, self-service, lots of choice. There are other meals from the Menu and other evenings offer different specialialities. Well recommended.

Thank Brian S
