Arrived to check in at 6.20pm - the "hotel" was in complete darkness, doors locked & no one answering the phone. Hung around for an hour calling several times to no avail!!! Ended up having to book another hotel which cost more money & was further to travel from my workplace. Not had any contact with any sort of reason...

Stayed here for 1 night and what can I say, this place is terrible! We stayed in the family room (room 1), my partner her brother and myself. It is a large room, double bed, single bed, sofa and storage for clothes along with a large bathroom. There was no mirror in the room which made it hard to get...

Stayed here recently and we were disappointed on several levels. Firstly the hotel is dated, run down and even simple maintenance issues like light bulbs aren't being attended to - the is a 5 light fitting in reception with just 1 bulb working - the carpets are thread bare. There has been previous mention of renovations but we couldn't see...

On the plus side the staff did advise me that parking outside the hotel ran the risk of getting a parking ticket and until a group Using the bar area for an afternoon musical experience left and i was able to relocate to the very small parking are I watched nervously for the appearance of the local council jobsworth. Having...

I'm sad to say it was one of the worst hotels I've been in worse than an old B&B in old days . Breakfast was basic but ok tables to eat on we're old scratched not a table cloth in sight , only typhoo tea which in its self would be ok but no other choice what so ever and...

I stayed with my sister, we found the staff friendly especially Julie 😁, the room was adequate for our stay ,they are in the process of refurnishing the hotel the bar and dining rooms were lovely , the only reason I haven't given five rating is there were no toiletries, apart from that it was super and would definitely stay...

Stayed for one night with 2 friends at a cost of £60 Inc continental breakfast. We had a triple room (one double and one single) the room was very large with mismatched wardrobe, drawers, table, large flatscreen TV and a sofa, no dressing table or bedside tables. Decoration was dated and to a low standard, one window was cracked and...

I stayed here for one night as I was going to a Wedding Reception nearby. I have to say that although I had a good nights sleep, I would not stay for more nights. The hotel is close to a busy road and that creates a lot of noise. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but the finishing in...

This stay was the worst I have had in my long life anywhere. I would love to say some this positive but every detail was the cheapest nastiest tack you will ever encounter outside of the most meagre offering available. The room was tiny. Everything was shabby. The Tv would gave been rejected in a prison, and the bed was...

“Choose a room on the middle floor. Yes, they are single rooms but the doubles are on the top floor and they only have a select few. Room 7 is a nice, single room and Room 11 is a good double room (if they ever fix that ceiling)”

“To be honest don't stop there will be a lot better hotels in Wigan that say you get what you pay for but if you do decide to stop very noisy at front as its on a main road”
