We had our wedding weekend at the hotel and have to say it was magnificent! We had exclusive use of the hotel for the weekend. As most of our guests were travelling from out of town, we wanted to make their long journeys worthwhile, and spend as much time with them as we could, so the hotel arranged a BBQ...

Thank you so, so much for your kind review. It really was such a pleasure for all the staff involved in planning and running your big day. It was one of most memorable and enjoyable weddings of the year. I have passed your kind messages on to all the staff involved. We wish you all the best in your marriage...

Easy to find, big car park. We had room 12 which was not the largest I have stayed in but perfectly adequate for the 3 night stay. Bathroom was clean and the shower was very easy to use and the bath of a standard size. The bed was comfortable and not too soft. Breakfast was a buffet style hot and...

I stayed at the Maitlandfield for my hen weekend with a group of my friends and family and the staff really went above and beyond so many times to accommodate us. They were all super friendly and helpful- I can't speak highly enough of them really. The hotel has a really laid-back and comfortable atmosphere and the food is great....

Very convenient for attending a service at the big church opposite and the reception staff were friendly. However my 'classic double' (see marketing photo of big room with 2 windows) for 1 person turned out to be Room No. 16 - about a third of a the size of a motel room (think Premier Inn) with a tiny shower room...

Lovely sirloin steak dinner, skinny fries, tomato, grilled mushroom and peppercorn sauce. Have been in many times over the past few years and can't fault the service given by Lee, always friendly and welcoming a credit to the place. Good wine list can recommend the Pinotage perfect with steak!

We stayed for two nights at Maitlandfield and were very happy with the accomodation. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. Food both at Breakfast and Dinner was excellent and served in an attractive and pleasant dining room. The hotel is set in pleasant gardens and is close to the centre of Haddington and also a very attractive walled garden...

My wife and I along with two friends just took part in the murder mystery weekend. Had a great time taking part in it, especially getting to know some more of the guests. The dinner between scenes was great, no complaints and catered well for veggies. Service from the staff was excellent very attentive and friendly. The hotel grounds are...

It's a nice hotel, perfect for a few night stopover. The room was quite small, and there was no real view out of the window other than of the conservatory downstairs. The room was quite hot and all attempts to cool the room down were unsuccessful! The breakfast is nice enough but the atmosphere is lacking (not helped by the...

Stayed here a week ago. Paid £130 for what must have been the smallest, grubbiest, darkest room in this hotel overlooking a rooftop. Cobwebs and a dead spider in corner of shower. Cobwebs round window and in corner of bedroom. Went to complain and ask to change room was told no more rooms available and to complain to reception in...
