Although I have reviewed The Hazelwood on a previous stay, I felt I had to write again as it has maintained its high standards. Phill & Karl are excellent hosts, welcoming, spotlessly clean rooms, good breakfast, convenient location, the list goes on ...... We choose the Hazelwood every time.

The Hazelwood is a great bed and breakfast in Shanklin, Isle of Wight. Forget chintz and old fashioned rooms, there's a bright modern feel to the rooms and a warm, warm welcome. Karl and Phil are excellent hosts and the trip this year was our fifth visit. Great experience all round and for a great price too. We'll be back.

We stayed at 'Hazelwood' for three nights and felt comfortable being able to come and go when we pleased. The guys were obviously house proud and Karl's artworks adorned most of the walls. He is a very talented drawer. Breakfast was ok, with good portions and plenty of choice. The room was a good size, with en-suite and the usual...

Had a fantastic two nights staying at the lovely Hazelwood in Shanklin, run by Phil and Karl. This was my third visit to the B&B with my partner; a well decorated and clean place to stay that offers beautiful views over Shanklin and the sea. Phil and Karl are always so welcoming and offer a delicious cooked breakfast, with lighter...

Many thanks for your kind words. We were delighted to have you stay at The Hazelwood and Karl has got over the shock of selling a piece of artwork that he hadn't planned on selling. Hopefully, it looks lovely in its new home.

Our recent stay at The Hazelwood was so welcoming and restful;Phil and Karl could not have been more accommodating. The hotel is like an art gallery and there are many examples of Karl's excellent work. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The gardens are lush and would be wonderful in the summer to sit out and...

Have stayed at the Hazelwood 5 times over the past 8 years and you could not be made more welcome by the hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotless, the breakfast is 1st class. They will even arrange the ferry crossing at a very good rate. Would recommend to any body. Just a short walk from the...
