Having had great service and wonderful meals here before we ended up going in for coffee after a wet walk from Sandown. We had a big smile welcome and our drinks were produced super fast with the little quality extras of a biscuit and good sugar. The boat decoration and general theme with the seafront location is a must to... More

We stay at the steamer inn often. It is lovely, service is excellent, staff very friendly. Excellent food, cannot fault at all. We are going back in August for a week. Breakfasts are excellent as well.

I Iiterally stumbled across The Steamer Inn whilst having to make late location changes to a half term wkend break. Thank Goodness I did. Having being a brand and food snob most of my life I pretty much had one of the best experiences ever at the Steamer Inn. Yes - the furniture in the rooms is dated BUT and... More

Ate at the Seamer Inn on three nights during our recent stay in Old Shanklin Village. We found the staff very friendly and the service was excellent and although it was busy on each occasion we found a table quite easily. The food was excellent, hot and very generous portions. They also do small portions on some of the meals,... More

We arrived early evening after spotting what looked a great place to eat earlier in the day. It was busy so looked promising to be good if everyone else was there, especially when you saw the food others were getting served. No seats inside but its a lovely warm night so are happy to sit outside with great views of... More

Stopped here for lunch before checking in to our holiday home. Had stopped for a drink in a pub further along but the menu didn't look very good so we went to the Steamer. And we were very glad we did! After a couple of beers we ordered food. I had the "oh my cod" burger. It was a massive... More

Visited the Steamer with my parents, grandparents and fiancé during the bank holiday week for lunch. We each had a sandwich, which you have a choice or brown or white bread or a baguette and they all come with a very generous amount of filling (prepare to get messy whilst you're eating it!) and crisps and salad. All the portion... More

Excellent food, brilliant service. The food is lovely and large portions as well. Well worth a visit. You must go, we frequent the steamer at Shanklin, every time we go to the Island. Always very busy and so many people remark on the food and service.

Beutiful place. Came here because im visiting friend on island. Had this place reccomended to us by hotel. Lovely seaside views and fantastic food. Little dissapointed with the wait on food. But understandable as it was very busy. Very warm welcomed service by the staff member by the board with red hair. And then a very chatty girl on the... More
