Just returned from a 4 night stay at this gorgeous, unique hotel in Shanklin. We had a family reunion, and stayed here with our dog and my parents, but other family members joined us for a meal one night, it was perfect. The table was laid beautifully, crystal glasses , subtle lighting and a great atmosphere with delicious food and...

Following a bereavement we had requested a quiet room. When we arrived we were shown into a room, down it's own little side corridor and were assured of peace and quiet as we were in fact the only guests staying. However a few hours later came the sound of children from our little side corridor. I went to investigate and...

I don't normally bother writing reviews but after looking through some of the negative reviews from customers of the hotel that were inherited from the previous owners I really couldn't stop myself. Seriously what is wrong with you people?! Who goes online and slanders a hotel owner just because they're butt hurt over their hotel having new ownership? Just go...

We were a party of 8 celebrating a special upcoming event for a dear friend. The Nightingale made a special effort (we were the only guests that night) and kept the bar open with a refined level of chat till the last of us gave up at about 4 am and then they made bacon and sausage sandwiches for 2...

We stayed at the Nightingale Hotel on a Saturday night as we were going to see Gilbert O'Sullivan at the nearby Shanklin Theatre that evening. Everything about the hotel was very good with a great location and superb views which we saw the next morning, having been obscured by fog when we arrived on the Saturday. In our opinion, the...

The Nightingale Hotel is one of the most beautifully designed hotels I have ever visited. The owner has a great taste of choosing the antique furnitures and accessories in the hotel. The food was incredibly creative and delicious. The hotel has an spectacular view of the English Channel. If you want to get away from a crazy city life you...

Had an amazing night here, including fabulous evening meal, naughty Circ Noir show and full English breakfast. Room was lovely with a sea view (binoculars included for any “Ship spotters”), tea and coffee facilities, hair dryer bath robes and slippers. Hotel is furnished along a strong Victorian theme, so ideal for the circ noir night, there are some lovely touches...
