We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Medehamstede Hotel. It is tired and dated but the staff are friendly and the food good. There was entertainment on every night which was good and overall this 3 night break was great value for money.

Stayed in room 57 during just go coach tour. Hotel dated but rps clean and comfortable and spotless bed linen. Food well cooked with good variety. Entertainment most nights which was very good. Staff all helpful and polite

My friends and I have just been to this Hotel for the weekend. The rooms were clean warm and comfortable. Evening entertainment was good with bingo to start but only two games so that was great for the non bingo players. We had singers on both nights and they go everyone up dancing. If your looking for Hilton type quality.... Move on, this is not for you. but if you want a decent all round hotel in Shanklin, this one ticks all the boxes. I could moan about all sort of things that could be improved, but that would be nit picking !! You get what you pay for and I came away...

We had been to the Medehamstede before and decided to take our friend to Isle of Wight.It was there first time at Medehamstede.We had rooms 30 & 31 as 2 of us are walking disabled.The rooms were clean and warm.The food was great all week having various choices each day. Booked for a week but appallingly bad so after first night changed to a different hotel. The staff seemed pleasant enough but there was no heating available in October so made any further nights out of the question.

Arrived and found had been put in an upstairs room, my fault as should have requested ground floor. There is no lift in building, but plans afoot to install one. Owners extremely helpful when we explained and were able to find us a suitable room on ground floor with a shower, rather than a bath. Staff all very friendly and...

The Medehamstede Hotel is badly in need of a refurbishment The hotel is two large building which have been joined by a corridor. The hotel is a warren of steps and corridors, There are NO rooms which could be accessed without using at least 9 steps unless you walk round the back of the hotel and in through a fire...
