Let me start by saying, if you're after modern luxury, this may not be the place for you. This place is a little shabby and rough around the edges but in the best possible way! If the owners spent a fortune changing the decor the whole feel of the place would be ruined. It is like going back in time...I...

We have just visited with our five grandchildren, and find the place as wonderful as it was on our first visit, 36 years ago! The Old Park is unique, and is the most child friendly hotel we have ever come across. The children love the grounds, the pool, the soft play, the entertainment and of course the children's high tea....

The bad: The person who runs this hotel (on reception and bar) was not friendly towards us from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I felt regulars to the hotel got a completely different service. Babies arent allowed at adult dinner so unless you are ok with your babies being on the far side of the hotel...

Feels a little like you have stepped into a time warp - décor a little tired and old. But, it is great for kids - fantastic gardens, family suites, entertainment put on for the children - our son loved it. Most of the families we met were repeat visitors and all said that their kids loved it. Our son has...

We recently stayed at the Old Park for a large family gathering and found that previous reviews of the hotel were absolutely spot on. The hotel definitely has a unique feel to it and our first (very shallow) impressions were definitely completely wrong. Granted the decor in the rooms is a bit dated, however any initial misgivings about this are...

We have just got back from ventnor. We booked last minute and was chuffed to find a hotel with facilities for kids with accommodation. We had one room with seperate areas for kids to sleep. We had read mixed reviews but were still keen to try it out. We had an amazing weekend and were very pleased with the friendly...

We were already staying on the island when we found out some really good friends were staying here too and though we had concocted a plan we had to wait until they arrived and the Bank Holiday rush subsided before we could make our stay a two centred one! This is a hotel for the children. It is the adults...

We stayed for 3 night here and it surpassed all our expectations. It is run by a lovely family who are relaxed and accommodating. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful and there is no need to leave there's so much for everyone to do. The food is also really excellent. We will definitely be back. Can't recommend it highly...

We have just returned from our 7th stay and we are planning our 8th. This really is the best child friendly hotel I have ever known. It allows parents the most relaxing holiday it is possible to have with children. The owners are very involved every day and the laid-back approach allows everyone to feel at home. You can spend...

We stayed for 3 nights at the start of August with our 3 boys and had a fantastic time. It may have been coincidence but the friendliness of the other guests and the fact that the children all played together from the moment we arrived was what really set it apart. The older part of the building is beautiful and...
