There are three small hotels run as one business. I was technically booked into another but ended up staying here which is where the bar and breakfast room are. There is a modern lift and the bedrooms have been modernised but to an adequate rather than luxurious standard. Personally I didn't find the bed very comfortable. The bar has real...

Stayed 2 nights in January, everything was perfect, had an excellent steak in the restaurant,an awesome Manx cooked breakfast both mornings. The room was warm and cosy, well stocked with tea and coffee which was restocked after the first night. All the staff were welcoming , attentive and helpful. I really can't find a fault.

The owners actually have three places all within 25 yards of each other and The Mereside is where you check in and you also find the bar and restaurant. I stayed in The Rosslyn in an excellent room overlooking the front of the hotel. The room was very clean with an excellent walk in shower and a good range of...

Stayed for 2 nights January 2016. Easy check-in. Very clean and comfortable room. Good quality bed-linen, selection of toiletries and hot chocolate and biscuits on the tea-tray in the room. Cosy looking bar; decent evening meal. Very tasty breakfast, cooked by the very approachable Sandy.

Unfortunately for me I had foot surgery two days before being due to fly to IOM and that surgery came with complications so I could not go. I approached agent to ask for my money back and was told it was the policy of this hotel to retain 100% no matter the circumstances. I can see, beyond compassion, the reasons...

I have stayed here quite a few times and every time has been very welcoming but this time was exceptional, I tried the curried tomato and onion soup it was amazing but what stood out for me was how hot every meal was from breakfast to evening meal. After staying in hotels all over Europe the food tended to be...

I visited recently and although I did not stay in the Mereside itself I did stay in one of their other accommodations just next door but one. Room was at the very top but great view and well kept through out my stay. Good breakfast and efficient but not fussy service. Would recommend.

I visited with a friend, who has restricted mobility, last week. There is ramp access to the front door and a lift to the bedrooms. We found parking a nightmare and the surrounding area was quite run down but it is only one street back from the promenade - too far for my friend to walk into the town centre...

Overall a good experience. Hotel was convenient and offered an amazing view of the water. Staff was friendly. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Could use a little updating as the carpet and sofa were worn and some of the furniture looked like it came from Ikea. Ate dinner in the restaurant both nights. The mushroom soup was excellent...
