I have stayed here quite a few times and every time has been very welcoming but this time was exceptional, I tried the curried tomato and onion soup it was amazing but what stood out for me was how hot every meal was from breakfast to evening meal. After staying in hotels all over Europe the food tended to be...

I visited recently and although I did not stay in the Mereside itself I did stay in one of their other accommodations just next door but one. Room was at the very top but great view and well kept through out my stay. Good breakfast and efficient but not fussy service. Would recommend.

I visited with a friend, who has restricted mobility, last week. There is ramp access to the front door and a lift to the bedrooms. We found parking a nightmare and the surrounding area was quite run down but it is only one street back from the promenade - too far for my friend to walk into the town centre...

Overall a good experience. Hotel was convenient and offered an amazing view of the water. Staff was friendly. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Could use a little updating as the carpet and sofa were worn and some of the furniture looked like it came from Ikea. Ate dinner in the restaurant both nights. The mushroom soup was excellent...

I booked into the Mereside for two nights whilst touring the island by bicycle. Upon arrival I was shown where to store my bike before being given the keys to room 105, which was large, clean and well appointed. The TV didn't work on the first night (not a issue for me), but even after reporting the problem, the reception...

Stayed for a few nights for the TT Race, with wife, daughter and 2yr old grandson - staff doting on him. We had a great time, with a lovely large functional family room overlooking part of Douglas bay. Very good shower in decent sized bathroom. Temperature controllable in your room with enough radiators and towel rail. Room kept well clean,...
